I have both Game Maker and Blender installed on my PC but I just haven't had the time to learn Blender, and how to use it. I guess I'll watch your video then, if that's the case.

No, no matter what GM version you using (6.0, 7.0, or 8.0) it doesn't matter. You MUST have the Pro version of any GM for the 3D functions.
