It is bad to think that Boxer breeders put "mainly white" Boxer pups to sleep because they don't fall into the guidelines on what "Boxers" are supposed to look like. I had a white Boxer, and he was a sweetheart...and in the market for a breeder who would rather give one a home, than put him down, at of course..a descent price.
I rescued my two white Boxers. The male I rescued from Petland cost the original idiots $1,500 because the White Boxer is "rare." Uh huh. Check with the local AKC for local breeders, you should be able to find one who doesn't cull the whites within a certain radius. I found one near me, by total accident, who only has, on average 2 litters a year. I hope this helps you.
I really like the collar. I feel like it allows me more control without worrying about her slipping out, and it's much safer than a choke chain. Our other boxer has one similar, except the part that tightens is not a chain, it's just made of nylon like the rest of the collar. I don't like it as much because it tends to loosen on its own when she pulls.
