  • Bonnie Langfors was 16 years old, when she made Rumpleteazer! wow!!! she is so amazing and so cute!

  • So does rumpleteazer have a crush on him or is she just impressed by her brother...hmmmm....

  • I love this! Rumpleteazer is so cute! And to the person who said the DVD is better (the DVD is good) but this is so much better!

  • rumpleteazer was only 16!!!

  • its kinda blurry

  • @gcibbarelli duh, this is from i like the 90's( or close to that) so it is not crystal clear

  • @ByMakeupForever lol i mean 80's

  • points out! this show is on vhs! not dvd.......

  • Ugh.....YOU GUYS. Quit comparing everything to the damn DVD already. Go and see the ACTUAL show. Without walking out saying "oh it's not as good as the DVD version".

If you think that, then you're not a true fan. Simple as that.

  • ohh common! this is not another version of cats, this is the original version! if this was not created before you probably cant have the actual mungo and rumple

  • I don't like the choreography

  • Comment removed

  • I officially can't do Mungojerrie and Rumpelteazer anymore without saying 'luck' like Bonnie did and puffing up my cheeks after hurricane.

  • i like the dvd better!

  • it's definitely changed over the years into a much catchier song in my opinion. i love seeing how far its come though, the costumes and choreo too.

  • I like this version better because ths version makes them look cooler and cunning more than silly.

Is it weird I like these costumes better? '>>

  • @LaurLaurtheNEKO Totally agree.

  • @LaurLaurtheNEKO No. Its a matter of opinion. I Like the original london cast because the costumes left more up to the imagination and made you pay more attention to their dancing/movement/ etc. You know Bonnie was only 16 when she was casted in this role?

  • I personally prefer the other version.

I'm not saying this version is bad, but to me the way the lyrics are arranged with the melody seems a bit awkward and rushed. And the different parts don't really seem to go together in the full melody. But that's just me. I still don't have anything against this older version. I see it as development of the music.

  • For some reason...I'm starting to like this version better...

  • I prefer the song when it was changed tbh, but it's just cause I'm used to that.

  • Very rare! LOVE it! :D Thanks!

  • Wow this is terrible look and the original version it is so much better

  • @LightningLove123 This IS the original version! The song was changed to what it currently is when it came to the U.S.

  • @Punkylbrewsterlvb: Wow you're so intelligent. You're spelling is so advanced for a 3 year old. If you have something witty to say, make sure you spell everything right, or people like me will assume you're extremely stupid. Which I am 100% positive that you are.

  • I prefer the video version.

  • @marlyjane What you saw was what they did in the Original Broadway production, before 1987.

  • You know what, forget my other comment this one is way better!

  • I actually also prefer the Video Version in 1998, Like rebbyvixen said I'm used to it.

And yah this is kinda weird and strange..... very....

  • I love them both,but i prefere this one.Its so cute!!

  • I love it because it's the original version, but I do find the new version catchier. I didn't really get the beat of this one.

  • Odd thing is, the version I recently saw (which is the same one from the video version) as well as this one, are quite different from the one I saw as a child. (I recall that neither of them actually sung in the version I remember.. I think it was Mr. Mistoffelees who sung it rather.)

  • I love both of the versions!!!!

  • what is she doin? 1:52

  • I like this one better than any other it has more of a Jazz feel which is what I like.

  • Good professional actress and entertainer, Bonnie.. Underrated.

  • I love this version of the song! :) I had it on a mix Cd when I was a kid XD

The costumes are kinda creepy but so are all the older version ones :P lol

  • well....this version is only....estrange.....

  • this is the originalversion of the song aint it?

I like it!!! Its diffrent from the movie and I kinda mess this version but the other is good too! Both are!!!

  • The other dance's verson is better, but the music of the verson of 1981 is better than the other.

  • Love it! And stop carping about the music, costumes, etc.! HELLO? This is 1981!!!

  • The newer one is better with Jo Gibb and Drew Varley

  • This is my version! :) I didn't even know there was another version till I watched the movie and was liek "Whaaa??" To me this version's better cause I know it....and I LOVE Bonnie!! So yeah there's my 2 cents

  • i dont get why in early versions of this show feathers were supposed to be ears on some of the cats? kinda strange

  • this is fab and so so rare people! And i know some of you are saying the costumes look odd n its not the same as the dvd, but this is the original version of the song and was like this up until 1995 in London and the UK tours.

Uve gotta remember folks that they could only just cast it and they were still calling in money up untill previews to stage it!!

it still stands nearky 30yrs on though i think.

  • @sound2503 I'm sorry I had no idea that this was broadway it's very different from the American version

  • @TheCocotoo Its okay,, most people make the same mistake. :D I didnt men to sound mean before. I actually like the other version better too.

  • I don't really like the twist on the song and the costumes I like the original

  • @TheCocotoo you know, this IS the original. This is the original version of the song, and the original london cast. You can't really get more original than that...

  • i luv this one! what r u talking about!

  • Is it just me or does Teazer sound way younger than Mungo in this version?

  • @Spidey23girl Perhaps...the actress playing her was I believe only 16. I think in this one they are meant to be siblings.

  • jazzy

  • I LOVE BOTH OF THESE VERSIONS SO MUCH :D

  • I love it how the little ears on Rumpletezer's head shake and such~ Just adds to the cuteness~! <3

  • o-o my ears are bleading.

  • haven't they ever heard of STRAIGHT LEGS???

  • @NintendogsRox01 -A- Wow... Take it this is coming from a professional no??

  • @AlucardRawks considering i've been dancing since i was 3, yeah. and youcan shut up now.

  • This is 12/8 and in the middle is 7/8. Jazzy.

  • I really like this version, but I love the other way better. Though, I don't understand why they wrote this tune, and then changed it to the modern one.

  • Why would they write the song, then change the tune? ...though I do like the version they do in the video better.

  • victoria looks so different at the start.

  • i like thise version better yet i know the newer one berrer but thise is really good

  • One of the things i noticed with the London cast is that some actors have wigs and makeup and some actors don't.Very odd.

  • @QTS97 yeah it looks like an amiture prodiction compared how it was when it closed

  • Very true. When they started it was very low budget.Back when CATS was about to open people said it would be the bomb of the year. Those people were so wrong.

  • @QTS97 yeah it was one of the most popular shows ever iv seen Cats over 25 times love it and iv even had my own gigner cat Macavity sadly he got hit by a car but have my little white Victoria

  • I've seen it on stage twice.I remember going to Toronto and seeing the touring company.I also own the video on DVD.

  • @QTS97 i have it on DVD iv seen it in London a few times also in Scotland and other parts of the uk soem of the cast i got to know but i liked to catch diffrent casts i wish theyd bring it back

  • Same.I wish they would do a Broadway revival of the show.

  • @QTS97 yeah no other show will be as good as Cats i loved the london production cos the stage revolved and it felt that u were in the junkyard with the cats

  • Yes the New London Theatre is a unique theatre because it's in the round and the stage revolves.

  • @QTS97 yeah that was the appeal of it i wish theyd bring it back yet the set was broken up and the cast over the years got bits off it and i think they took the costumes too

  • i wished i was able to see it on Broadway, but the best i got was the DVD and doing the production for High School.

  • aww maybe one day it will tour and you will see it the show is awsome live

  • I like the never version better. And Ive begin to think that cats looks a bit unfinished with wigs and make up... Johan.

  • I prefer the video version. This isnt bad thought; The costumes on the video versions are way better.

  • hmmm.... It's different (compared to the Broadway/film version), but not bad. I definitely prefer the film costumes though.

  • rumpleteazer sounds like shirley temple

  • Rumpleteazer sounds a lot like the rumpleteazer on the video version.................

  • super corky and cute

  • Interesting dance moves! LOVE their voices A LOT!!!!

  • they don't look much like cats

  • This is so cool! I love the original london cats cast.!!

  • I LOVE this version!

  • Comment removed

  • omg this creeps me out they sound like British robots, idk what to think!

  • I don't get why people have to say "oh this one is better bluuhhhh"

the video version and this one are both great but they're different, you can't compare one to the other.

  • I prefer the 1998 version. The DVD version... :S, but that is only because I am used to it.

    This one seems very... strange.

  • this is extremely RARE!!!

  • where did u get this version?

  • I love this version =]

  • My favorite version, amazng. It was great to see the video, thanks a lot!

  • So very good!

  • i like the version they have now i LOT better.

  • This is actually the origional, it was suposed to sound t\like this in london! wow, i cant believe it but rumpleteasers voice got even more annoying!

  • ayee wie geil ^__^

So war das füher nech =)

Ich finde es schön das sich am ganzen seit der Uhraufführung nicht soooo viel geändert hatt'.

  • This is the Original London version. But later they sang the new version in London

  • I love the oldschoolness of this :) But I'm just so grown together with the film version that it's the "original" for me. This is kind of so mysterious, if you know what I mean, because this has been the first version and now they don't use it anymore.

  • I prefer the film version to be honest but that's my opinion

  • Comment removed

  • Eh...It was great, but I like the newer one better. In the newer one, they make them seem much more lower-class-kinda-stupid-theives. (NOT hating on them, they're my faveorite!) It's the music, I think that makes the new one. Slow and stupid...I mean, slow and steady! xD

  • huh..I bought the cd of the production they did and I've been wondering what their dance looked like...Nifty!

  • This is one of my favorite casts of cats!!

  • I'd always wanted to see how the orginal version was choreographed, it's really interesting, because even though the music has changed, you can still recognised certain elements, especially towards the end of the number.

  • Yes, a lot of the dancing is the same. This song has undergone a lot of changes through the years especially when it came to broadway and misto sang it while two cats did a pantomine.

  • I believe it was puppets on broadway, rather than a pantomime, but it really has. In that respect, really nice to be able to see where is all started.

  • It may have been later on but I have pictures from the Original broadway cast and it was two characters dressed up doing a pantomine.

  • this is the original cast which was in LONDON.

  • I know the original cast was in london. That comment was for some one who saying something about the broadway cast.

  • oh ok, I'm sorry

  • its okay by comment that you commented on was suppose to be a reply to some one else but they removed their comment. Hence the confusion no need to be sorry. :)

  • I'm sorry, it's too emotionless for me.

  • omg this is cool

  • Wow, i wish tours now a days would try this version. It's so cool and the dancing is awesome. I love the guy who plays Jerrie

  • Thank you very much!

  • Oh my gosh this is awesome! Thanks for uploading! I have this song this version uploaded under my account!
