The music tracks names show up on the bottom at the start of the race in both WipEout Pure and Pulse.
Also, there used to be a very old (and incomplete) upload of all the EU add-on packs, and I when I got the game I noticed it was missing a music pack so I had to ask for it. Try downloading the add-on pack again from the link on the right...
yeah i just noticed that you were doing 5 laps! with pulse i agree it is much faster but there and not enough tracks! (but I guess that's just me with the US version i cant get the addons!)

It's definitely Phantom (only Phantom events have 5 laps).
But I agree, playing Pulse's Phantom class makes Pure's Phantom feel like Flash...
