  • no esd strap :O

  • moving a hard drive on carpet is not safe for the hard drive. You can damage it by producing static electricity.

  • you are too slow

  • So if I do this can I just put the drive right into an xbox 360 slim since you can put a 2.5" drive into a 360 slim?

  • @cowsrock94 yes, you can, it will work, but you must be careful. It may ban you if it doesn't recognize it. Read up on it a little more first.

  • I thought I needed a special screw (T6 I think) to open my HDD, once I saw this video (I knew I had the same screw driver and I opened up my 20 GB HDD, now I get to install this 320 GB WD HDD :)

    Thanks bro

  • No special tools you used one right at the beginning

  • @madboyrhyd no special tools, just different size | screw drivers. Not X ones, but | flat head screw drivers. The small ones. For glasses etc.

  • thank god for broke people i didnt want to buy a torx screwdriver just to open this hdd why dont they just use a universal screw system on everything there's no need for all these different screws fuuuuuuuck thanks alot for the vid homey

  • fuck sakes my screw driver wont fit the second set of screws, the ones connected to the hard drive itself so i cant get it out -_-

  • Thanks a lot for this video. I'm replacing my old 20GB (yeah, after all this time) Halo 3 Hard Disk for a 250GB one but I really don't wanna lose the orange accents nor the Halo 3 logo.

  • @Garthgoyle HAHA, I'm in the same boat bro lol. But im only replacing it with a 60 gig. Do u you how u would transfer all the stuff on the original HD to the new one?

  • @dolma66 Yep! Borrowed one of those thin screw drivers and switched the cases. Just follow this video and it'll be piece cake.

  • ADEFICENTE !!!!!!

  • One Question Can Someone Answer Please:

When The Old Hardrive is pulled apart is it possible to plug back into the original xbox or do i have to put it back together

  • is that a regular flat head screwdriver you using?

  • @equate5 yes, but when you turn it, you must make sure you press DOWN on it so it doesn't strip/shred the screw.

  • Can you send me a link or something to a site where I can get that screwdriver to undo the harddrive

  • @Videtta23 This is what you want to get: The Kobalt 10-Piece Precision Screwdriver Set" it has all the tools you need to take apart the original 360

  • nooooo.. no engrish???

  • um actually my bad false alarm i didnt plug it in all the way so its not fixed yet :( but ur video did help tho thx man ive subcribed to u later man ..

  • love your videos man..its quiet and simple

  • @XElitexHitmanX thx!

  • @TheUnixCube What size of screw driver did you use please reply or inbox, Thanks.

  • can you not speak

    we understand english talk!!!!

  • Cool hay if you find out how to mod a hard drive let me know

  • @CH33ZCAK3 60gb and 250gb if I remember correctly.

  • Does any laptop hardrive work? What is the maximum memory?

  • whatd you use to open it?

  • @spartanx just small precision screwdrivers. Make sure you do NOT shred the screws. Push on it VERY hard and turn slowly. Let me know on your progress...

  • @TheUnixCube yeah got it open, thx ^^ but didnt manage to fix my hard drive in the end T.T

  • @spartanx when you turn it on... does it even spin up?

  • @TheUnixCube explain "spin up" if you mean if it started running, and hearing sounds that it sounds like its running, then yes, the problem is mostly likely a hardware problem inside the actual hard drive, but i dont got any soldering materials so im going to have to get someone else to try n fix it

  • im tryin to figure out how to break open one.........

  • @2dittoz You must start by unscrewing the outside layers. Make sure you DON'T shred the screws. BE CAREFUL!

  • In a earlier comment you replied saying only 20g and 250gb works. I have a 60gb, may you explain why it wont?

  • you should laugh in the middle of no where it would be funny

  • Soooooo damn slow n lame you made this video waaaaaaayyyy more than it needed to be

  • @KevInPA84

Slow and steady for the people that need help, dumbass.

  • The careful and silent filming and hand gestures are a million times more understandable than a broken voice through a mic. Fantastic upload thank you.

  • Can u use a 1TB hard drive and put in replace for that

  • @huggi2 I haven't tried... but you will need to get a SATA HD... I think 20gb and 250gb are the only ones that will work.

  • @TheUnixCube what kind of hard drive is this again ?

  • (whew) i though you were gonna strip one of those screws for a second there!

  • @Trimush121 yeah, without the proper tools, it was very risky (I had to do it)...

  • I like how your videos are silent, makes them unique!

  • @dotsona07 thank you.
