in P1 all melee should be on the adds that spawn when al'ar quills. Once P2 begins, several tanks are needed to tank the adds. 3 per meteor, 3% of al'ars life per add killed. Ranged dps should down the adds, as to avoid the AoE explosion. melee fights al'ar in P2.

This video is a little different, just because the guild that I'm in has the ranged dps pounding down the adds instead of working on Al'ar. Then again, we haven't downed him yet. I'll have to talk to the raid leader about that next time, see if we can't bring him down faster. Only thing is, when an add dies, he loses 2% health or something? I believe that's why we have ranged dps on adds and not the bird itself...

I went from Fire to Arcane and even without the tier 5 set bonus you can outdps fire mages easily. Arcane is badass.

You need to use Frost in the Al'ar fight, Read: Immune to fire. So shut the fuck up you noobs. :)

And to those who can beat fire mages with their frost specc I would like to try you out. :)

The mages in my guild all go arcane for ssc and tk. Hydross is immune to frost, Al'ar immune to fire, so they go arcane to cut down on respec costs.

Hehe, yeah arcane is nice if you have 2 parts of T5! My guild worked it out so we can all be 10/40/3 and just cast frostbolts on Al'ar. :=)

I could be wrong, but I believe the button mod is Bongos or CTBarMod, and I think the casting bar is eCastingBar2. Everyone should already know what KLH ThreatMeter is =P And I'm not sure about the character bars, I prefer xPerl myself.
