Thank you for giving us back this amazing song. Dusty was a true original and that voice is SO rare and just pure emotion. Richard is, as always, wonderful in arrangement and production. This is a real find!!
@marklulrich fully agree with you. What I loved of this video is the fact that we can see Richard on the process of recording the song, we had the chance to see the genius working, and with the wonderful voice of Dusty Springfield to make it better =)
@LordPata, Thanks. I think Richard is a genius too. I loved Carpenters from the first song I heard of theirs. Karen was, IMO, a once in a lifetime talent/voice/human being. Sad for Richard that he has had to endure the losses of Karen and Dusty. Thankfully we have their immense talent recorded to enjoy forever!
@marklulrich Yeah, in fact when Richard talked about this album Time, he said it was hard for him to work in it because it was the same team he worked with during the Carpenters era, same sound engineer, same musics, same studio, everything the same but no Karen. He was used for him and Karen to be a team, so working without her sure was hard.
Yet he managed to pull through it and brought us a really great album. Still, Karen will always live in our hearts.
@LordPata, Yes, Karen will live on forever in my heart, memories and the CD's/DVD's that I have of her incredible performances. The richness of her voice always "grabs" me to this day. I know that I am fortunate enough to be listening to someone so rare and unique that whatever else is going on I truly feel as if I must pay full attention to her beautiful singing. Richard aptly named their last album "Voice of the Heart", that is what Karen is to me.
Dusty had such a soulful, loving voice to every song I have heard to date. She certainly touched so many with her voice. Her singing just makes the hair on my arms stand up. What a lovely talent she was. xo
The lyric is by Pamela Phillips Oland....world class writer! Add to that Dusty's voice...man oh man. Fantastic. Very proud to be working with Pamela Oland.
salamat kabayan! ok ginawa mong paraan para di mablock ang video. anyway, thank you very much for sharing this video. i never thought i could see the video of my favorite song. thanks uli!
A great latter day Dusty performance that got overshadowed by "What Have I Done To Deserve This". 80's production, but you can hear that her voice is just as clear and expressive as it was in the 60's. She looked good here, better than the spiky hair she wore later.
God bless you for reposting it.I think i know who erased this glorious video,,it was those people who compares dusty voice to claire dela Fuente[who is she?
ahh, that voice. I don't think somebody will even try to erase something as beautiful as this so don't ya worry brandonman2k n thanks for uploading. cheers!
