  • My best friend has like 5-6 of these, he got one for Christmas a few years ago. I finally got to see it a while back, one of the finest weapons I've ever held.

  • Love the M1. It reminds me of killing zombies in COD

  • Why are the two most thumped up comments the same?

  • wouldn't be cool if zombies were real, that weapon would be the weapon of choice against them they wouldn't stand a chance!

  • My favorite rifle of all time.

  • I love the sound of an empty clip getting ejected. Sounds like... TROUBLE?!!

  • dear god the sounds of that weapon are amazing all around.

  • now put zombies in front of it:)

  • Goddamn i love thatclip eject ching!!

  • The Garand is such a beautiful weapon.

Where did you get your and for how much? They're not usually cheap. :(

  • I would be scared that the shell would hit my head and catch my hair on fire.

  • God, I love that tick sound when you shoot your last bullet.

  • Nothing beats an M1 Ping!

  • One of the best rifles EVER made

  • nice gun

  • thats loud

  • i love when the clip gets automatically out of the m1, and sounds great

  • a true classic gun

  • i LOVEE the TINGGGG sound at the eng od the magazine >D

  • @kristijanvkns in the war they got people killed because of the ting. but i agree it sounds kool

  • I love that *ping*! lol, considering how early it is for a semi-automatic design it's incredible how sturdy and tough (as well as accurate) it is.

  • best gun alive i got such good accuracy on this sh*t i blew up a can at a thousand or so yards

  • i love that gun, im 14 and i shoot my dad's all the time! my favorite gun of all time :)

  • That "ping" is unmistakable. Great sound.

  • The whole story about the pinging alerting enemies is 100% bullshit. The enemy not know which soldier is out of ammo and there would be no way a soldier would hear a ping while artillery and other rounds are going off. They wouldnt be paying attention to it.

  • That story is just a huge generalization. It is partly correct in that just a few, VERY FEW Vietnamese soldiers were actually smart enough to listen for that ping. The stories that were told made it seem as though all of the enemy listened for it but in reality most of them were as you described it. But there were a small amount that paid attention to it.

  • First the M1 Garand was barely fielded in Vietnam. Second If an axis soldier popped up after hearing the ping another soldier would blow his head off. Its not a one on one.

  • @MosinNagant69 Yeah and if everyone is shooting their rifles and machine guns i doubt anyone will hear your ping if they are not right next to you, and if the enemy is shooting also (they probably will be) i doubt they can hear it.

  • i love the sound when the clip springs out...thats my favourite weapon <3

  • I love the sound of the empty clip being ejected at the end.

  • This gun is the best ever created in my opinion. The M16 is acurate but its way too weak. They brought the M14 back. Maybe this will come back too.

  • why would they bring the garand back?

The m14 is the improved version of it.

(I still like the m1 garand a lot though)

But battle wise, the m14 beats the m1 garand by a longshot.

  • It seems like an improved version of an M1 Carbine, due to the long barrel, bolt, magazine, etc.

  • No, I think the M1carbine was made after which (if it was) contradicts your theory. No offence.

  • Lol the m1 carbine was the carbine'd m1 garand, made for closer quarters and tighter combat.

even though the m1 carbine uses another kind of round.

  • Nope. The M1 Garand and M1 Carbine have nothing to do with each other at all. They shot same diameter bullets, but that doesn't say much.

  • I meant because of the length of the garand, Many soldiers, especially paratroopers, were calling for a tighter, shorter weapon.

  • m1 garand was too strong for the beginners so the m1 carbine was made

  • i love the sound when the mag flies out

  • I totally agree, I just bought an AK and I'm starting to save up for an M1 now.

  • nice. ur lucky to get to shoot this. i love this rifle.

  • nice battle rifle. but it gives your position away. unless your sneaky . and keep an empty clip to throw on the ground after the 7th shot. so you can take your adversary's head off with your last shot. assuming that your a good shot. when he pops up after hearing PING.

  • why after the 7th shot? you can do it after you did one shot.

  • it usually only makes the PING when it ejects the empty clip. but i hear what your saying.

  • yeah I hear what you are saying to, And I love that you've proven that racists and hunters are so stupid that they cant think logic haha

  • i read back through the comments and dont see where i dissed anybody.if you mean you can do it after the first shot your enemy does know how to count. and knows your not out of rounds.theres your logic, count the rounds.

  • i like the sound when ammo end... ding! :)

  • well I apologize about the other comment I did not see this video...awesome isn't it?

  • 7.62x64mm.

I don't know why we ever got rid of that cartridge.

  • the garand fires the 30o6 cartridge or .30 cartridge and it is also 7.62x54mm

  • the originals were 30.06 or 7.62x63/mm springfield, maybe it can chamber that 7.62x54/mm im not sure.

  • the originals were 30o6 and .30 springfield, other calibers such as the .276 cavalry version were scrapped, the modern civilian versions can be chambered for either 30o6 or 7.62x54

  • It actually is GARAND. Search google, M1 Garand.

  • Thank you for correcting me. My apologies for being an idiot...i just assumed it was spelled Grand because i have heard it pronounced grand my whole life.

  • ya it is pronounced grand but its spelled garand because the dude who created it's last name was garand

  • nice rifle love the sound it makes when it ejects the clip at the end.

  • @Dietzeeeee wouldnt want that sound near me in combat though, thats more infamous then cool

  • @RiflemanExpert You can also use that to your advantage by keeping a couple empty clips near by fire off a round and slam the empty clip against your rifle... When the enemy pops up you have 7 rounds left to take them by suprise...

  • @Dietzeeeee yeah but in the heat of combat your not gonna think like that nor would you have time to do that

  • The best gun!!!

  • I want one of those...

  • where do you get a gun that old,.

  • they still make them today.

  • that is one hell of a gun

  • badass

  • how old r u like 12 any ways the gun was really cool

  • Love that sound after the 8th (?) bullet :P

  • That's the clip coming out. I love it, too :)

  • Yeah I know ^^

  • That is a good semi-automatic rifle which was very accurate back in WWII. The mag holds 8 rounds and when empty it makes a ping to let the shooter when its empty.

  • also lets the enemy know it is empty

  • Well i don't think that was intentional just a by product of the way it is designed, it is a nice sound lol oddly, but not a good one the shooter will know the gun is empty because they cannot shoot with this the enemy know it is empty as well.

  • bitchin rifle!

  • i know dingggg lol

  • i love that sound it makes wen the mags empty :) reminds me of saving private ryan lol

  • PING! lol

  • the gun that won WWII

  • nice gun
