footballers like this makes english football looks sucker now as compared to more attractive option like spain.
English media have done & still doing & will keep on doing their best to protech their national players(except A.Cole) now matter how awful they really are in skills.Same can be said about their other sports athletes.
Your dead right they would, just look at what happened after Becks broke his metatarsel before the 2002 WC. They harrassed the culprit, so much so that he came close to a breakdown!
I'd love to do the same ' accident ' to you tbh. The english media may want to brainwash the rest of the nation because some big tough english thug did this to some disliked 'foreign' side, but at the end of the day Shawcross and his brainless tackle snapped the UK's best young midfield talents leg in half.
I would love to see the media reaction if Gallas had done this to Rooney, he would be public enemy number one considering his one late tackle all season against bolton got enough press.
no one realizes that it was a simple swing and a miss, rather than a bad TACKLE that resulted in this. it was a freak accident, thats all it was. and his previous record of injuring players, those were from TACKLES. this was not a tackle. it was a swing and a miss trying to hit the ball. absolute accident.
What exactly was he 'swinging' at to go in at that speedand force exactly? He went in that hard because he was still worked up after his little spat with Fabregas.
It was wreckless, brainless and above all very, very dangerous play and like i said, if Gallas had done this to Rooney, the media would be singing a different tune.
so there's not enough stick from Wenger and Arsenal players in the media for you? and the absurdity from the Arsenal fans from this isn't enough from you? you really think he was worked up from a spat with Fabregas, then went in to tackle this guy hard, and walked off the field in tears. right. work that logic out.
and yes, his previous injuries to Ade and Jeffers were reckless challenges from behind that he had no business in making. those were awful. this scenario, he went in swining just as
just as hard as you see in most 50/50 challenges, the only difference was that he was .000002 seconds late. do you understand teh difference between this attempt to kick the ball and his previous tackles? they are not the same in any way. the guy was just trying to kick the ball, and it just so happened that he was .00002 seconds late and not only that, Ramsey's leg was in the perfect (and only) position in which it could snap in two. and Arsenal fans are ready to turn it into a murder trial.
Theres no place in the game for 'tackles' like that, theres no need to go in that hard with ur eyes closed, its dangerous. It doesnt matter where Aarons leg was, or what place, what matters is that brainless Shawcross went in like he did and caused the injury. I really have no idea how anyone can defend such dangerous play.
The stuff said in the media by anyone from Arsenal football club is simply the truth in the response to questions asked by the media. Every other english thug is coming up with excuses for Shawcross left right and centre, its a joke. At the end of the day he went in as hard as he did and snapped the kids leg, no excuses, no point in going on about intent or anything else. It was stupid and dangerous yet hes going to be playing in 2 weeks, when will Ramsey play again? exactly.
again, you seem to not understand the difference between a 'tackle' and an attempt to kick the ball. we see players go in just as hard MANY times each game, the only difference is that they fortunately get the ball and no gets hurt, but the process and force is the same. no one has a problem with those. and its amazing how Arsenal fans turn this into an attempt to get sympathy and put the stick on someone else for them finishing in third every year with a bunch of kids who think they are good.
btw its not even completely Shawcross's fault... if you watch a slow mo close up from a diff angle (theres a video on YoutTube), Ramsey already basically has his ankle rolled before Shawcross comes in.. if the ankle wasn't rolled already i don't tihnk this break would have happend from just Shawcross's kick... just saying, there's so many variables in play here that you NEVER see. it's an absolute freak accident
We finish 4th actually, and spend less money than the teams that finish both above and below us in the table, but ok. So basically you're saying that it wasn't a tackle but he 'tried' to kick the ball lol pathetic.
There is no point in trying to debate this with you, if you can't see anything wrong with what Shawcross did then theres no helping you.
At the end of the day, if Shawcross went in to kick the ball like any other player Ramsey would'a played against Burnley on saturday afternoon.
look, i am not denying that he went in hard, what i am saying, is that there was no malicious intent, it was not a tackle, there were unbelievable variables in play to cause this freak accident, and Shawcross is not to blame. and also that we see this exact tackle many, many times in each game but fortunately for us all no one gets hurt.
and who cares how much money you spend, at the end of the day, it matters how many trophies are in your cabinet. and no, i am not a fan of any big 4 club.
Arsene is doing wonders on a tight budget, and we will see our reward for that in the coming years. Considering we make more money per match day than any other team atm, its only a matter of time.
People dont go out to driving with the intent to run someone over either, but it happens doesnt it? It's not about the intent, its about Shawcross putting himself into the 'challenge' the way he did with the chances of such a thing happening, and well....it did.
bringing up 3 times in less than 4 years shows to me that you still dont get the difference. those first 2 times were terrible tackles from behind that he had no business in making, and he should and hopefully will never do again. what happened to Ramsey was something not at all like those and irrelevant; most ball winning CBs can make an attempt to kick the ball like that. in fact most players can. it's an accident.
and IMO, some of the current players don't cut it... but yes, pieces are there
I do get it, it just happens that I have a different opinion to you, but to you thats me not getting it? ok
Mr Shawcross may have gone in just wanting to win the ball and rough Arsenal up a bit, which is fair enough, but its that mentality which has caused all 3 of these injuries. He went way over the top with his challenge and we have seen the results. I'm all for the physical side of the english game, but theres a line which Shawcross failed to see it since his eyes were closed at the time.
Another excuse, I must'a seen about 20-30 of them for Ryan Shawcross in the last week or so.
Arsene even said straight after the game ' I expect the media to tell us all about a nice lad he is now '
I'm done with this, but like I have said before...if this had happened to Rooney/Gerrard/Terry or any other major english player this entire media saga would be totally different to what we are seeing now.
Just look at the hounding Duschner got over his nothing tackle on Beckham before the WC.
what i just posted is true, it is an excuse but i only say it because i thought it was an irrelevant point that you brought up. but yea, if it was God Rooney (hate him, totally sarcastic) it woudl be totally different... but even if it was like Paul Pogba making the tackle, Arsenal fans would have figured out a way to turn him into a crook as well.
3 British average joe players that were told before the game to get into Arsenal.
In a league full of foreigners, the chances of that have got to be slim, right?
Ramsey was unlucky, his leg WAS in the so called perfect position for it to happen, but if Shawcross didnt go in so dangerously, then theres no problem. I think that is the point all gooners are trying to make.
i said irrelevant because yes, players in every hard challenge go in with eyes closed. its natural, they brace for impact, and closing yoru eyes doesn't mean you have no regard for the fine line between a regular challenge and sometihng else.
and how are you so sure Shawcross was told to 'get into Arsenal' before the game?
@DrunkenBunk Quite right, Wales' best hope (along with Bale) smashed and the English media make excuses- if it had been a Welsh player on a top England player they would have been merciless. Welsh people would probably have been getting attacked in the streets, the way some of the racist tabloids stir things up
no wonder why england, with such a strong league have not been able to produce technical players like kaka, ronaldo, messi, ronaldinho or zidane. Because being a thug and physical in england is somehow better than being a good footballer.
So hes done that, put Adebayor out for a month with a tackle which was 5 yards off the pitch, broke the anke of Franny Jeffers and snapped Aaron Ramseys leg.....yeah hes not that type of lad is he?
The english media makes me sick, even wenger said after the game that people would come out with the ' hes a a nice lad ' comments.
It's amazing how half of the british media/managers have come up with some excuse yet when Willy Gallas made one bad tackle he was made out to be the devil.
Gallas made one bad tackle, ONE and the player was only out for 10 days. He was just late, he didnt go in like Shawcross did, who went in full blooded with his eyes closed in the intent to do damage. Jeffers did indeed suffer a serious ankle injury because of Shawcross, so my facts are indeed correct, mate.
The english media are scum, just like the typical stoke fan. How on earth can anyone have the nerve to bring up the Gallas tackle as a counter to what Shawcross did? unreal.
Shawcross is just another reckless English Footballer that was outplayed. Not malicious, just stupid. I would bet that the FA's and the country's reaction would be completely different if Rooney or Gerard was taken out of the WC.
whatever anyone's opinions on the ramsey tackle are... i think shawcross will calm down a bit now. people talk about ramsey's mental scars but no doubt shawcross will have some mental scars too. coming from a TOP GOONER
jebus you're stupid. diaby nicked the ball off nasri in training as he was about to shoot and since there was no ball he ended up kicking diaby with so much force that he broke his own leg. so he broke his own leg.
shawcunt is a little cock who had to suck on his mummy's titties, so sad he felt. more like the filthy inbred licked her pussy and stuck his tiny dick inside - muthafucker.
Well it's better than sucking on your dads, your brothers and your grandads cock like you had to do you in-breeding illiterate prick go and autofellate yourself
illiterate? good one - actually i make my money through writing. and i live a better life than you could ever imagine. i've lived in countries you will never see, i've fucked women you would never get near and my bank account is storming. fuck you.
Now we have established that Hugh Fisher did go onto play football again, despite Bob Wilson breaking his leg, can we move on to discuss Mark Randall's red card at The Britannia Stadium last season ???
That is an absolutely outrageous lie. I'm a Saints fan, and Fisher went on to play for us for another 6 years after that tackle, as well as two other clubs. Disgraceful.
"(You have to admire) the passion and commitment of the English game. You have to ask yourself if you want to take that out of the game here. When I watch a Serie A game, I'm bored after five minutes. If you want totally clean football, you'll get bored."
Well done Shawcross, you may have probably killed the career of a bright young player! You can cry, but no amount of F***ing tears can redeem you in the light of what you've done! I hope you get tackled just as hard in your friendly against Egypt!
I hope someone puts sense into this lad's head that this is not the way you f***ing tackle/ defend!
I am not the type to wish injury on anyone, but how ironic woud it be for the British press to have a foreigner break Wayne Rooney's leg the way Shawcross did Ramsey. I bet those cunts would be singning a different tune, rather than coming out and backing this thug. "He's not that type of player, he doesn't have a bad bone in his body, etc..." Maybe he doesn't go out and rape women and children at night, but put him on a football pitch and this clumsy fuck is Jack the fucking Ripper...
What if an Arsenal player broke another players leg which considering how dirty Arsenal can be wont be long. would we still be going on about it for so long, and would Asshole Whinger have seen the challenge, somehow I dont think so, So shut the fuck up and go back to your thoughts about raping women and children you sick bastard
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Here's an interesting Wenger Quote from 2002, defending Arsenal's dreadful disciplinary record at that time:
"(You have to admire) the passion and commitment of the English game. You have to ask yourself if you want to take that out of the game here. When I watch a Serie A game, I'm bored after five minutes. If you want totally clean football, you'll get bored."
surprising you cant find a lick to the gallas near leg breaking challenge on Davis, the gooners have probably been looking everywhere to remove all evidence. The reason why davies was playing the following week was that he's probably a bit tougher than some of the arsenal players
i blame the manager for sending his team out to kick the cr@p out of us
in fact, i blame ferguson getting away with doing precisely thta in the FA Cup semi final where they slaughtered Reyes, from which point onwards every sh1t team that couldnt beat us took that aas their cue to do the same.
I've actually seen the video of Nasri breaking his leg. The fact that you are trying to use Diaby breaking Nasri's leg as proof that Arsenal players are dirty too, is pretty stupid considering you clearly haven't seen the video.
Nasri had the ball and was about to shoot. Diaby poked his leg in between Nasri and the ball, and Nasri kicked Diaby so hard it broke his own fibula. Not in the same league as a double compound fracture and it was not wreckless like Shawcross. Nice try though.
Er...Who here has claimed or implied that all of Arsenal's injuries are the result of a "conspiracy"? What has Nasri's accident got to do with any of this? How is it relevant to Shawcross's behaviour, (which is what the video & this thread are about)?
Because what happened between Shawcross and ramsey was an accident, arsenal are a bunch of dirty twats, look at gallas fabregas, van persie, then players like Keown, petit, adams and henry
He is not that type of player? Do me a favor.... how many people does this talentless cunt have to put out of the game for everyone to realize this he IS that TYPE of player!
I came on here from Arseblog and BongoQuark is right, someone needs to get this out there properly, along with the Jeffers and Adebayor tackles... and I think he tried to break Ronaldo's legs too...
I e-mail blogger last night about a campaign to highlight Aaron, Diaby and Eduardo's injuries cos sadly this story is old news now and the papers, if they didn't cover it yesterday won't be doing anything else. That leaves it down to us to not let the real issue of another Arsenal player with another busted leg be forgotten. I can't get to home games but a huge banner with "3-not forgotten" on it might make people start to think. I feel like the rest of you that we need to do something but what?
if you look closely you can see shawcross draggin his knuckles just after the tackly before he remembers himself.... fucking thug culture of the UK, and people wonder why we complain so much and aren't very patriotic? there's your reason c*nts!
The boy is 22 and already broke 2 players legs and he's "still not that kind of player". He's a thug who I hope isn't on the plane to south africA as he wouldn't last 5 mins on the pitch with foreign refs.
This is ridiculous. All in all, i blame the English press for being biased. They run around hollering like moronic imps when an Englishman breaks his nail in the pitch and do nothing when The same Englishman is at fault. Shawcross should be charged with assault. Today its Ramsey's leg, tomorrow its Fabregas' neck.
proof, the man is an animal. this time he did it to one of Britain's own. Your game is chewing up and spitting out its most promising young stars. Shawcross will never be what Ramsey could have been. Look at how that tackle affected Eduardo. He is a shadow of his self. Animals, JUST ANIMALS!!!

That is an absolutely outrageous lie. I'm a Saints fan, and Fisher went on to play for us for another 6 years after that tackle, as well as two other clubs. Disgraceful.

Eboue tried to block a John terry clearance and terry kicked eboue's studs in the follow through, there was nothing that malicious about it

diaby, I recall was a tackle from behind (oo-er)....around the ankle and Achilles heel.

Eboue broke 3 bones in Terry foot.
That was a horror challenge.

Jimmsy...Are you indicating studs were up in the Shawcross tackle....Sadly, you're argument is flawed as that is factually incorrect.

Gooner for life!!

ARichardson14 1 year ago 5
Are you seriously putting breaking a leg in the same category as rape?
saur112 1 year ago
@saur112 he is quite clearly saying how they are in entirely different categories, the idiocy of some people is past belief
ortholithos 1 year ago 2
Oh yeah, I totally misread that. Well, I look a fool now.
saur112 1 year ago
What if an Arsenal player broke another players leg which considering how dirty Arsenal can be wont be long. would we still be going on about it for so long, and would Asshole Whinger have seen the challenge, somehow I dont think so, So shut the fuck up and go back to your thoughts about raping women and children you sick bastard

You mean the Davies the guy who played problem free the following week. If thats the only stick used to beat us .. We really must be saints.
lettraggad 1 year ago
surprising you cant find a lick to the gallas near leg breaking challenge on Davis, the gooners have probably been looking everywhere to remove all evidence.

Who broke Nasri's leg?
Was that a conspiracy as well ?
Deluded fools.
Woodshires 1 year ago
I've actually seen the video of Nasri breaking his leg. The fact that you are trying to use Diaby breaking Nasri's leg as proof that Arsenal players are dirty too, is pretty stupid considering you clearly haven't seen the video.
Nasri had the ball and was about to shoot. Diaby poked his leg in between Nasri and the ball, and Nasri kicked Diaby so hard it broke his own fibula. Not in the same league as a double compound fracture and it was not wreckless like Shawcross. Nice try though.
Lancer5954 1 year ago 7
Er...Who here has claimed or implied that all of Arsenal's injuries are the result of a "conspiracy"? What has Nasri's accident got to do with any of this? How is it relevant to Shawcross's behaviour, (which is what the video & this thread are about)?
jeremiah1911 1 year ago
Because what happened between Shawcross and ramsey was an accident, arsenal are a bunch of dirty twats, look at gallas fabregas, van persie, then players like Keown, petit, adams and henry

I feel like the rest of you that we need to do something but what?

futurecat2073 1 year ago
