  • my all time fav classic guitar song :D

    i think koyunbaba means sheep-father :P

  • Brilliant performance. Terrible audio quality.

  • actually I play this piece and I know it very well. He had some mistakes, but it is pretty well :)

  • disgusting sound.... it s a tv rip?

stop talking about face and robot shit music isnt a contest!!!!!!

still the sound of this vid suxs

  • This guy not only plays guitar awesomely, but also he acts with his face man! He has some neat face tricks ... you can tell he feels the song man! he plays great! nice video! people! please never hit him in the face! not in the face man! or ... or the hands! ... ehhmm .... just kiddin' ...

  • It's very beatifull! Classical/Spanish Guitar music is always beautifull. What is this music? Is it Turkish, Andalucian or samething else?

  • @arkhatych

Turkish. Though the composer isn't turkish. He just developed the style around the local folk music after staying there for a while. His wife is turkish, I think.

  • KoyunBaba is Turkish name. I like Turkish/Arabic/Morrocan & Andalucian/Flamenco combination

  • bella interpretazione.Peccato quel suono microfonato....

  • i know this song. 1 kid from my "music school" performed it live ,its awesome :D

  • ****** VERY BEAUTIFUL *****

    Congratulations.

    Kisses,

    Raíssa (Brasil)

  • Ben Pila has the best version of the 4th movement on youtube

  • Great interpretation ... Do you play a Smallman ?

  • amazing guitar player!!!

  • good job!

  • =) I tell you it's easy to plya and i totally agree with the fact you say you have to enjoy music and I bet he does enjoy playing it more than anyone maybe. My post wasn't telling he can't play or doesn't enjoy, i know the story behind this piece and I also loooove playing it, I was just saying that he plays it like if it was a masterpiece but you learn to play this piece in every school you know..

  • He's making faces because he's into the music and loves playing his guitar. It's passion for music that most people apparently don't understand, this piece has an interesting story behind it. Koyunbaba refers to shepherd but also relating this piece to the Domineconi where the area of Koyunbaba in SouthWest Turkey is cursed. Do some research before posting a useless comments. He is a skilled guitarist who has perfected this song and no, it's not an easy piece to play properly.

  • Thats my cousin!

  • watch Li Jie if you want the only good interpretation of this piece around..you wont listen to this version again i bet you!

  • Actually, I think there's better than her. Look up Aniello Desiderio's version.

  • 1. Its a him not her 2. Go compare clowns not guitarists.

  • 2:58... Did he just tune his guitar? Or was that some kind of technique?

  • Yeah it looked like he was tuning

  • tuning

  • Asked like that, nobody will tell you ...

  • i didn't ask anything...i was saying he was tuning at 2:58 ... what do you mean?

  • One of the best version on youtube. But.... what's wrong with his face man?

  • I agree I met this guy and he make many things with his face when he play it's funny but really he is a fucking great guitar player he's the best guitar player i've ever seen !!! really and he is a very nice person !

  • not impressed... not impressed at all... this guy is performing next sunday in my city, and i was checking if it was worthy... and it is not... PS: the gig is for free... not going though! xD

  • very impressive as a matter of fact, I saw him at the Royal Cultural Center in Amman and he was brilliant! He was called back for another performance and he was just perfect. LOL I thought I could play guitar, Now I've totally lost my self-confidence. :)

  • @deezclub Amman, Jordan?? really. sweet

where is this guy from lol ???

  • @Mkamalid

    He's French.. Brilliant!

  • @Mkamalid He's French.

  • is he using the greg smallman guitar that john williams is using?

  • YEAH THATS IT

  • This piece is my dream... That's a pity that youtube sound is on so low quality... I would love to listen this guy live, in this concerthall. Just amazing. Bravo!

  • the first movement is easy and sounds cool but the tuning wrecks your guitars neck

  • nice freaking tone.....

  • His tone is amazing

  • Belle interprétation, excellent technique. On peut simplement regretter la prise de son qui ne permet pas d'apprécier pleinement...

  • respect, he's great...

  • even though i dont like songs with just one classic guitar this song is sweet. I really loved it.. the softness of the melody and his concentration of emotions into the song completes it beautifully. Deserves 5 stars and definitely my fav. Sounds even better than some songs of Al Di Meola. Congrats!

  • joke?

  • i ammire only your tranquillity while playing...

  • you... guitar is about love and passion no contest here !!

  • this guy blows so much. more than a 5 dollar whore

  • Yeah but your screen name is beejay (B.J.), after all.....

  • haha.

  • me too, seriously. and almost anybody could learn to play the first movement relatively easily, in my opinion.

  • you don't even know how much he practiced...

  • no, but apparently not enough... what happened to the second, third, and fourth movement???

  • he's going to my school , and im going to take a class with him :)

    lero lero

  • i just saw him play tonight and it was astonishing, best live classical guitar performance i have ever seen.

  • he freakin signed my hand! he told me it's his first time signing hands lol cool now i play better. bleh

    Bravo Cauvin!!

  • It's a shame there's no 4th movement video... when he performed Koyunbaba suite at Andrés Segovia's contest, people stood up from their seats to clap the hell out of their hands. He's just the best classical guitarist alive.

  • i disagree with this statement^^^^

  • same

  • that´s not koyubaba, just the first part! his face make me laugh haha

  • he man weird faces expressions but still awesome song tho

  • i know lol he was like that the whole time, his eyes were closed most of the time O_O

  • erdemozdemir, english, please...

Yes, Thibault Cauvin is one of the greatest young guitarists of our time.

But the video is atrocious and the sound horrible.

It's quite hard to judge such a performance. Sorry!

  • hi thibault! great to see you here my friend!

    bastien burlot

  • Cauvin has an excellent musicanship and technique. In my opinion there are three greats youngs guitarrists in the world: Thibault Cauvin, Judicael Perroy and Flavio Sala.

  • i've seen him today in my city Monterrey and he is excellent.

  • I've seen him play twice now and nothing gets better than Thibault.

  • this guy played in my city and he plays well... he does some funny scratches in his hand ...you should see... but he plays well indeed

  • I find this a beautiful and moving performance.

  • Ankarada MEB şura salonunda dinleme fırsatım olmuştu. Çok genç ve dünya birincilikleri olan bir Fransız gitarist...
