It's known that the z06 5th gear is too long thats why it looses speed in 5th but thats not the case with the Zr1...

To compensate you should use a bit of Nos in 5th this way you would easily beat the GT2 or the SLR cuz when u shift into 5th the rpm goes down to 5k which is not the peak rpm..

peak rpm is 6600 to 7k

The truth is, You killed your car by 5th gear. I mean @ 0.25 too slow shifting and try to be quicker.

Honestly, I think that GT2 is modded.... stock for stock, these cars are close.

Just type ZO6 VS GT2 and watch there is about 2 videos one for motortrend see what he is doing for the Z and the other for Oman911turbo is a new car with 1500km only and both videos with same result

Stock for stock a gt2 is faster than a zo6 and I like the gt2 better than the zo6. But if that zo6 had a Cam, CAM again, headers and exhaust it would have destoryed the gt2. He was buffing you.

plz search for Stock ZO6 VS GT2 and see how the GT2 bloW the Z for any speed its about 200meter at 270KM and Im having mid range cam not big one my car is only about 80rw more than the stock Z ..

The fact is the ZR1s big 6.2 liter supercharged pushrod wondermotor barely outruns the GT2s little 3.6 liter turbo motor and you think thats something!! A minor boost increase on the gt2 and zr1 is toast.

why don`t you say the Twin Turbo GT2 with 505trq is BloWd by V8 with small charger vette ?? .. in another way a car with Double Turbo engine cost about $200K or more is BLOWd by car with %50 discount on the price . :P~~~~

did u see any GT2 VS Stock ZO6 before ? Do some search in youtube and check it its about 505 trq man with Twin Turbos and Im 485 trq ! Good 4 me that I forced him to not move till the 5th gear KM 300 !

i think if u started from lower speed u will win u gave the gt2 a big advantage by starting at high speed ;)

Agreed but I think you forgot one Important thing ... The 997 Twin Turbo GT2 torque is 505 and mine is V8 engine with 485 only ... and I`m still running around this car till 300KM and some times I`m trying to go ahead .. so I should be proud now of my car right ??
