Meron ako kakilala ... since elementary pa lang nagtrain na ng soccer ... eh hanggang pagkatapos ng college kinareer... eh hindi pa rin magaling. ganun din ang martial arts... only a few are gifted with the skill to "fight and kill/hurt"... the rest more like hobby lang.
Actually mggamit mo pa rin ang nlalaman mo sa arnis kahit wlang sandata..The stick is just an extension of the arms even w/out stick you can still use combinations... you can substitute the stick with anything like a knife or any stick that you can find if nothing there really is nothing else then you better hope that you can run faster than your opponent hahahaha..
Ang ganda, this is Philippine WAR arts at one of its best! The man defintely has the skill of a grandmaster - every technique comes natural, and he uses anything as his weapon. He also shows that fundamental techniques are still proven to be deadly - after all it's the quality NOT the quantity of what we know.
I wonder if he's actually had to use this in a life or death situation. Just like GM Antonio "Tatang" Illustrisimo who fought 30+ life or death matches, and was still deadly at age 90!
try to watch "kalye todo" you will like the interpretation of close quarter . I would like to train with this group but dont know anything about the phils.
anyone who has a gone can kill, but not all of us can use a stick like this man. . .you can call all your family members and friends with you to try to beat this man on stick fighting, , ,and i bet all of you will loss. .shame on you!
This message is 4 the heaters and to this fellow yhat made comments recently: did you know that a good arnisador are also sharp shooters/ gun expert!!!!..... learn bro... explore not just talk shit....
a stick can be a pipe you pick up on the street or you can translate a stick to a knife....or even to empty hands bro....there are also tactical defence against guns which are used by the philippine army....you should look up and try to understand some arts.....
Actually Dr. Remy Presas was the grand master of Arnis... Eskrima is a totally different style. similar, but different. I like both styles, though I am currently studying Arnis :P.
This guy in the States makes these guys look amateurish...should really check out Michael Perry he's great! Not filipino, he is Irish/Indian and does a more lethal straightforward style. Definately like no other!

Arnis can be used without the stick.
Arnis treats weapons only as extensions of the body.
The stick is primarily a training tool.
Also muscle memory is what counts in a fight. Even if kinakabahan ka, if you did enough training, your body should move on its own.

i agree, that would be showing the true power of arnis in it's true form! but still, that was way informative. ^_^

Just like GM Antonio "Tatang" Illustrisimo who fought 30+ life or death matches, and was still deadly at age 90!

have you ever been hit by an eskrima stick?
those things can crack skulls bud.. and it's a bit longer than a knife. or a shank. and plus, a part of the arnis/eskrima training is knife fighting.

a stick can be a pipe you pick up on the street or you can translate a stick to a knife....or even to empty hands bro....there are also tactical defence against guns which are used by the philippine army....you should look up and try to understand some arts.....

Actually Dr. Remy Presas was the grand master of Arnis... Eskrima is a totally different style. similar, but different. I like both styles, though I am currently studying Arnis :P.

asetong 4 years ago
it means kong sabi nyo wala kayong isip at di nyo ini isip yan ....eh samatuwid wala kayo sarili style sa tinuturo nyo kaya pala magulo

He doesn't even have to think of the moves. they just come naturally. That's skill.

This guy in the States makes these guys look amateurish...should really check out Michael Perry he's great! Not filipino, he is Irish/Indian and does a more lethal straightforward style. Definately like no other!
