are you running the g major through the fx loop?... can u set up patches with ur amps channels to where you stomp once to go from a ch.1 with chorus to ch.3 with delay?
The G-Major has relay switches that will actually let you switch your amp channels via midi. That's better than if it had distortion. I absolutely love mine.
Hey! Great playing...i like the way your delays bouce of each other!
I got myself a G Major and i'm running through the serial fx loop of my diezel amp. However, I find when I use the distortion channel with no effects I get a kind of phasey sound. When I take the G Major out I get my tone back again. Do you get the same problem?
Easy answer. If your loop is set to parallel and the g-major is set to bypass, it still ADA's the sound and delays it for 2ms or so(nothing you'd usually notice). when this delayed signal is mixed with the dry signal routed through the amp, comb filter effects occur. Just put it in the serial loop, that's the easiest way to avoid it.
what patch is that?

Didn't like the fact that the T.C. G Major didn't have Distorition. That would have sold this product to me. I think to everyone

your amp should provide enough distortion, to most players pedals muddy up the sound unless its a solid unit (ibaneztube screamer) etc.
the point of a g-major is to provide all the effects and not mess up your tone, and it does a wonderfull job
would rather have a g-force though (drools)

Great job man, great sound as well. The gmajor really enhances the tone of any amp.

Sweet tone ... reminiscent of that of Steve Rothery of Marillion.

Can someone tell me(this may be a daft question but i cant find out anywhere
) if the g major and or g force units can be set to give only the effects with no original signal for use with parallel loop??
whitscunt 3 years ago
too sharp, too much "bite"
typical for g-major.
It isn't really transparent.
Lexicon G2 is better imho(more natural sound), but not so reliable.
Anyway I still own g-major with broken knobs(standard issue)... :p
wiory 3 years ago
No, the g major is as transparent as an efx unit gets. The bite is from the guitar and the mark 4 rth 1 treble too high. I never use mine above 5.5!

No, I haven't had that problem. Are you running the Gmajor in stereo?
shredding1 3 years ago
I have that exact same problem man..I love the G -major but that has been bugging me...Its like a filtered kinda sound.

@Stuupot Hey mate. You need to turn on the dry kill setting on the g major if it's in an FX loop.

incredible playing...one question...I have a mesa boogie dual rec, how are you running your G major into your Mark?
prs101 3 years ago
Hey, buddy,
Thanks. G major should be put in the effect loop of the amp. It's best when you run the effect loop in series instead of parallel.

(stupid question) how do u run the effectloop in series/parallel? what button is that lol
