This band is WAY too big. it makes it hard to see what is going on in the field. and why would a big band like bloomingdale play something so unoriginal?
@greendude1219 why would most college marching bands being bigger do basically the same thing every home game with different songs each time? Its not for originality its for the fun of playing an instrument.

You guys did well, but it pisses me off that you guys got a superior over King, my school, even though we played more than you, 2 of the same songs, and went all out for the ending. you guys also have near to 300 kids, and one fo your guys came up to me after the show and said we copied you, which is bullshit (tenor sax from King high)

Actually at our Prisms Concert which is still a little bit into the year we preview what are songs are going to be for next year. So we definitely had the songs way before you guys. Lol & Personally i believe that we performed better than you guys. But who am i to judge. Just goes to show that you guys can copy us and play before us and we come out and stomp you guys :)
Honestly, I remember freaking out because its hard to not criticize what your doing, especially since your the ones who know how the music goes. I was so relieved when I heard we got a superior, even though Im a freshman. Fridays performance I think was wayyyy better than FBA but we did have our off days. I loved this show. Cant wait till London next year (:
@ Petrafied Though Newsome i can say is a great band, marching band especially. and i'm not saying this just because i attend bloomingdale's band but We beat you guys, By far. we're one of the only highschools in the entire WORLD that London's New Years Day Parade's People have asked to come and participate. If you have a problem with it. start practicing, because you guys beating bloomingdale in any type of marching band style music your crazy. Superiors Every Year. 24 To count now.
@petrafied77 I will say, Marching wise, we don't do a whole lot of fixing things like staying in step or whatnot. That is the things we focus on the last couple of weeks. We focus on the music for at least 7-8 weeks. That is the top priority. I believe it is just swapped for the Newsome band. I am not expert. Newsome and Bloomingdale have two different styles. Thats all it comes down to.
I didn't even hear the tuba's ( not to be mean) But honestly, it's SUPER hard to hear them over all of the OVERPLAYING Brass section Including myself. I only heard them at the beginning to faithfully that's it.
On this performance i believe that we earned a superior but, on the other hand if though a superior a BORDERLINE superior, we played well but not as well as the night before in Anyway you want it there was ALOT of blatting as shown in 3:19-3:21 by trombones and at the end of the song by trumpets. Faithfully was performed well but the horns in the solo, their pitches were off. Don't stop believing was a hit. So was Mikey's solo. Leading us to a superior. Very well done though guys! :)
yeah dude friday nights performance was great. We definitely earned a superior here, although it wasn't our best performance. I'm pretty sure everyone thought we were gonna get an excellent. that was the biggest group sigh off relief i've ever heard when we got a superior lol
