how well does the $200 gyro work for drift assist? ive got a jr 770 3d in my old belt cp that im thinking of slapping in a $100 cheap-o rc drift car i bought... i can drift fine w/o it, but hey whatever helps right?
PRICE PLZ and HOW FAST TOP SPEED PLZ. i love that car!!!!!! i got a thunder tiger skyline and it can drift realy well but i want that so much its georgus.
My 4TEC nitro converted to drift. Specs Traxxas 4TEC nitro with Toyota Trueno AE86 body HPI, 2.5R pullstart engine with OS slide carb, Tamiya Type-D tires, Futaba Radio system and digital servos with Futaba GY401 Gyro system for drift assist! You can get it at your local hobby shop! Just ask them how much!!!
after my comment i was thinking more about it. Now im sure that it is (or can be) a very interresting item for rc-cars! i never have tried (onroad)drifting before (next week it will change) but i will try to use my heli-GY-401 for my offroad-buggy for better drifting! maybe the car will stay on a offroadtrack like a train on rails! also could be interresting for high-speed-jumps on thin ramp!
I fly helicopters too so I have a lot of gyros!!! Try using one... you'll see the big improvement!!! It is like the HPI D-box system for drifting but better; if you know what I'm talking about! By the way, I'm more into performance not for show. It also comes with the skills...LOL Ground Pilots rule!
On the cars the gyro is connected to the steering servo, like the helis its connected to the rudder... now it will help the car to counter steer, over-steer and under-steer so the car won't spin out. So let say you drive your rc car straight then you turn it to drift, it will hold that position left or right while the car slides, Just like the helis if you wag the tail it will lock! It is best to install a high speed/torque servo for steering. Pref. a minimum of .17 speed like Futaba BLS351.
wow ur a tard cake a nitro car is that gas? wtf.. anyways this is a beautiful toyota i really like this old school corola looks so reall.. awesome fuckin sweet mad clean to!! good work
Check the car's alignment! check your shocks too... I'm using 50 weight shock oil on the rear and 40 weight shock oil on the front. Move the camber shims also!
