@fanmanu1000 Emirates recently started a flight from Dubai to Dublin. With the good few A380's they have & the amount they have on order, it shouldn't be too long (im hoping)
@topgearfan12 your a fucking retard that was an amazing landing and what do you want a 1 foot per minute rate of decent?....... so shut your face and fuck off from these videos
ur a useless basterd, this is a normal landing and tell me what u think bout it , and another thing ,hes not descending at 1 foot per minute and so what is 1 foot per minute considered a bad landing to a moron like u
@mythicalireland - Haven't seen a good old Boeing 747 land in Dublin Airport in AGES, thanks a mil for posting this. I take it 747s don't land here that often these Days?
Correct. One of the busiest single runway airports in the world. Getting a bit less busy though this winter because Ryanair are cutting back by 20% from EIDW.
Runway length required for take-off depends on many things. Heavy 747s used to take off from rwy 16/34 or rwy 35 as it was way back bound for the USA and that''s a shorter runway.
That's dependent on many things, including weight and fuel on board, runway condition, wind etc. A nearly-empty 747 could take off using a third of that runway!
Maybe, but for the spotter it will be awkward because traffic will be split between two runways. At the moment everything is on one runway so it makes life easier for the spotter Hope they put spotters' facilities between the two runways. Any chance?
i seen this big bird taking off today from clare hall followed by a shamrock 330...in answer to your question about the daa putting facilities for spotters at the airport i dont mean to sound cynical but they dont give a damn about the people using their airport much less about the spotters. they should open the roof and let people have a viewing deck like the carpark roof at manchester
777-200f will start PARIS-CHICAGO route in Jan09. so i am told by my supervisor. ones service starts, i will post vids of the welcoming of Air France 777heavy...
Yes, I've missed the Sing Cargo 747 since that service was withdrawn. Today was good. I got an aerobatics display, a 747 and also the FedEx A300 taking off on a very short take-off roll. It was a nice day in Dublin today and there were lots of people out to see the planes.
ive never even seen this friggen air france cargo 747!.. only the singapore one... but its mainly because the wind wasnt right so i couldnt see any planes going over my house today
does anybody know when the a380 is gonna come to dublin ???!

Dublin is not a small airport by any means. 12th busiest airport in Europe ! Wikipedia!

Correct. One of the busiest single runway airports in the world. Getting a bit less busy though this winter because Ryanair are cutting back by 20% from EIDW.

love the 747,s,went from london to tokyo, and then to oz on one. how would airbus a380 manage ha ha :-)
sheaprodigy 2 years ago
a 747 would land in dublin airport low on fuel. i could'nt see one taken off fully fueled and fully loaded. rw is not long enough
DarrenGT4 2 years ago
Runway length required for take-off depends on many things. Heavy 747s used to take off from rwy 16/34 or rwy 35 as it was way back bound for the USA and that''s a shorter runway.

jesus, can dublin airport take 747s?
how long is the RWY?
and singapore airlines also lands there? incredible
killo13 2 years ago
Sure can. 2637m long. Singapore no longer comes to Dublin, but was a regular visitor up until last year. Air France has filled the void !
mythicalireland 2 years ago
oh cool, i want to see that some time
but dont 747's need at least 3km to land? especially a cargo one?
killo13 2 years ago
That's dependent on many things, including weight and fuel on board, runway condition, wind etc. A nearly-empty 747 could take off using a third of that runway!
