  • does anybody know when the a380 is gonna come to dublin ???!

  • @fanmanu1000 Emirates recently started a flight from Dubai to Dublin. With the good few A380's they have & the amount they have on order, it shouldn't be too long (im hoping)

  • @DannyBoySmith1993 ok thanks (;

  • seen one in dublin last saturday morning good video

  • What time does this take off & land?

  • i saw it flying in yesterday

  • saw this land a couple of days ago, I didn't have time to get the camera out though! Nice video :)

  • Nice video good filming!!

  • must have been a hell of alot of cargo onbroad for a 747 to fly only to Dublin from paris or where ever

  • @charlieiscool1000 it mostly takes off very light last time i seen it took off after about a quarter mile.

  • Does any passenger 747's ever visit Dublin?

  • how often does it come i saw it on saturday its cdg and chicago it goes to?

  • i saw nicolas sarkosi's air france cargo plane at dublin airport before. maybe that was it but i think i saw it during a summer if i can remember.

  • @topgearfan12 your a fucking retard that was an amazing landing and what do you want a 1 foot per minute rate of decent?....... so shut your face and fuck off from these videos

  • ur a useless basterd, this is a normal landing and tell me what u think bout it , and another thing ,hes not descending at 1 foot per minute and so what is 1 foot per minute considered a bad landing to a moron like u

  • @topgearfan12 your a fucking idiot you clearly took what i said out of its intended context

  • me? r u sure cause im 2 billion percent sure it waz u that started the bullshit

  • @topgearfan12 no you implicated lower that it was a bad landing when in fact it was near perfect.

  • is there a set time for these flights

  • when do 747s land in dublin cause i never saw 1 landing in dublin?

  • Beautiful...!

  • i have never seen a 747 landing in dublin

  • i never saw b747 land in dublin

  • 747's r now landing at Dublin !!

Didn't know that, I thought the runway would be too short for them..??

  • Aer Lingus used to have B747s from 1970-1995, there was no problems handling them.

  • shes sitting on the runway today 20/9/09 nice to she the 74s comming and going out of dublin

  • nicely matched engine cowlings

  • Well spotted. Didn't even see that !

  • they now have the AF 777 cargo at dublin now :)

  • What's in the Air France cargo plane then? Tons of white flags and frogs' legs!

  • Cuisine de France, perhaps?

  • Cuisine cruising at 500mph!

  • amazing video

  • Thank you so much. There's another one showing the same thing, but with a zoom-in on the wheels when it touches down. Check it out.

  • ok thank you

  • @mythicalireland - Haven't seen a good old Boeing 747 land in Dublin Airport in AGES, thanks a mil for posting this. I take it 747s don't land here that often these Days?

  • @soeffingwhat Not too often these days. But to be honest I haven't been up there in ages.

  • @BRUTUALTRUTH - If it was full of French Red Wines, I'd move into it :-D

  • Dublin is not a small airport by any means. 12th busiest airport in Europe ! Wikipedia!

  • Correct. One of the busiest single runway airports in the world. Getting a bit less busy though this winter because Ryanair are cutting back by 20% from EIDW.

  • love the 747,s,went from london to tokyo, and then to oz on one. how would airbus a380 manage ha ha :-)

  • a 747 would land in dublin airport low on fuel. i could'nt see one taken off fully fueled and fully loaded. rw is not long enough

  • Runway length required for take-off depends on many things. Heavy 747s used to take off from rwy 16/34 or rwy 35 as it was way back bound for the USA and that''s a shorter runway.

  • jesus, can dublin airport take 747s?

    how long is the RWY?

and singapore airlines also lands there? incredible

  • Sure can. 2637m long. Singapore no longer comes to Dublin, but was a regular visitor up until last year. Air France has filled the void !

  • oh cool, i want to see that some time

but dont 747's need at least 3km to land? especially a cargo one?

  • That's dependent on many things, including weight and fuel on board, runway condition, wind etc. A nearly-empty 747 could take off using a third of that runway!

  • would an a380 be able to land at EIDW with our runway restrictions and all....??

  • Nice! Do they still come to Dublin every Saturday? and if so what time roughly?

  • OMG !!

The livery is old and ugly !!!

    Please AF change it !!!!!

  • Heueu !!!

Allez vas coucher !!! Et me réponds même pas !!!

  • You said it ;))

  • Ok :))

But you don't see 747's everyday operating flights to/from the Airport.

  • Very true. Still a rare luxury for EIDW!

  • Yes it does, have you ever seen a passenger 747 flying Dublin Airport (NO)..

  • I have seen passenger 747s at EIDW. I have the video to prove it too! And I'm not talking about empty Virgin 747 maintenance flights either!

  • I DON'T THINK DUBLIN AIRPORT HAS 747's I NEVER SEEN ANY IN DUBLIN AIRPORT..........

  • Hmmm. Maybe you missed something. This video clearly shows a 747, clearly landing at Dublin Airport.

  • how often to 747s land in Dublin. cause I want to go a see one of those bad boys land!!

  • Every Saturday!

  • Great video !!5*

  • Thank you!

  • nice video!

  • Thanks!

  • excellent video

  • Thank you!

  • 747 air france cargo just landed now :P

  • It's great to see them at DUB isn't it?

  • ooo cool :D

wat was the bigges plane that landed in dublin

was it that big antonov or watever ? i think one of them came with trains to ireland

  • cool vid good to see a 747 landing at a great airport where did it come from?

  • it will be even better when they have the 3 and a half thousand metre runway parralel to 28 built

  • Maybe, but for the spotter it will be awkward because traffic will be split between two runways. At the moment everything is on one runway so it makes life easier for the spotter Hope they put spotters' facilities between the two runways. Any chance?

  • i seen this big bird taking off today from clare hall followed by a shamrock 330...in answer to your question about the daa putting facilities for spotters at the airport i dont mean to sound cynical but they dont give a damn about the people using their airport much less about the spotters. they should open the roof and let people have a viewing deck like the carpark roof at manchester

  • Not sure to be honest.

  • Go on to the daa wbesite and it has all the detailsit will be some job when its done

  • 777-200f will start PARIS-CHICAGO route in Jan09. so i am told by my supervisor. ones service starts, i will post vids of the welcoming of Air France 777heavy...

  • nice. this is wat dublin needs more of

  • Yes indeed. more heavies please!

  • i work with this plane every day here in chicago. i also work with KLM...

  • Great. I look forward to that!

  • i was told by my supervisor that we will be servicing the 777-200f...

it will be a Pris - Chicago flight. Service will start in Jan of 09. I cant wait for that.

  • Piefwect Landing =]

  • Not bad at all!

  • Saw this one myself on an other occasion, shame EIDW doesn't get many Heavy's like this.

  • Yes, I've missed the Sing Cargo 747 since that service was withdrawn. Today was good. I got an aerobatics display, a 747 and also the FedEx A300 taking off on a very short take-off roll. It was a nice day in Dublin today and there were lots of people out to see the planes.

  • ive never even seen this friggen air france cargo 747!.. only the singapore one... but its mainly because the wind wasnt right so i couldnt see any planes going over my house today

  • Well at least you can look at it on this video now!!!

  • LOLOLOLOL DUDE I was on a Flying lesson at weston and saw the Fedex A300 fly over what are the chances!!!!:P

  • Class. What plane are you flying?

  • Piper Warrior (EI-SKW) once a week.
