  • I think the biggest problem with cosmological arguments like this is that it takes universal principles and applies them to the universe as an entity.

    This would be like saying that since football as a game contains things called 'goals' then 'football' as an entity must be able to score goals. Its a category error.

    Without at least one dimension, a 'cause' and an 'effect' cannot be distinguished from each other.

  • I would like you to answer some questions for me, if you don't mind:

    1. Based on our scientific understanding of singularities and logic itself , Do you accept that the big bang singularity could not of caused itself to expand?

  • @BreakoutLuceal To be honest, I don't know enough about the beginning of the Big Bang to comment on what provided the driving force for the expansion of the early universe. That being said, when you say "caused itself to expand," you are imposing time on a system in which time presumably did not exist (it's like a what happened before the big bang question... it's nonsensical).
