@lTheSawl u need to delete all ur dark souls stuff off the harddrive/xbox, then do system maintainence....to do that u need to go to systems>storage>harddrive>pres­s "Y" (i think it is) and it will ask if u want to perform maintainence, click yes and the patch is gone...as well as all the patches for all other games, but just hook ur xbox up to the internet and redownload them next time u put another game in :)

There is a way around not being able to play with out the patch. if you delete the patch insert a memory card and choose the memory card as your storage device. I just confirmed this on the 360 but you will have to start a new game.

*WARNING* You can delete the patch! But the problem is that you *HAVE* to re-download it no matter what. The game will ask you to download the patch and you will press cancel. But later, the game asks you to sign in and download the patch and there's no way to cancel it. You can't start the game until you download the patch. Like this comment so that everybody can see this before they make a mistake!

@TheGospelbug By turning off your internet you mean? Let me re-phrase what I said. When you delete the patch, you "HAVE" to re-download the patch even if you weren't signed in. The game remembers your account (Again even if you aren't signed in) and won't allow you to start the game with the deleted patch. So if you want to do the glitch, you will have to make a new user (New User, Not New Account. You could still use your current account. Just don't join PSN on the the user YET).

@fotljubei If you want the glitch to work, you have to delete the game off the PS3. Then make a new user (Not a new PSN account). So when you make a new user, start the game. Then you can get the dragon head from joining the dragon covenant and do the glitch and all. Be sure to get all the stats you want and items before signing up for PSN.

@iSh0Tu99 if you already have a character and still want to do it, just make a new ps3 account. dont set up the account for online. then play and cancel the patch. once your the level you desire, turn it online and download it. yea it takes a bit to get back to ash lake. but just make a mage and rape all the bosses. then get all the stats and do whatever :), thats the way around it

if you uninstall the update and then try to start the game, you get an error message saying that it cannot load the save files because they were saved on an updated game - please quit, sign in and update your game. there is no way to go around this message, you must quit game. i guess you must play unpatched from the beginning to do this glitch

just to let everyone key in on this the update has taken the glitch out but if you didnt update i got a little trick for ya, if you have the grass crest shield equip it & then do the glitch and you can just hold on to that X (for xbox) or square button (for ps3) & it shouldnt have your stamina meter run down at all (infinite souls), but ONLY do this if you want to, not encouraging to cheat just sharing this info, i found this trick out on my second playthrough character (my cheating character)

@ZERTAbranny you have to go to Ash lake and walk through the sand trail to the stone dragon and pretty much join the covanant and you can also get he great dragon sword by cuttin the tail of the dragon behind but dont worry he shouldnt attack you or anything really, also ash lake is also a place to warp to (stone dragon bonfire) although its a pain in the ass to get there after going through the inside of Hollow Tree, then past the hydra pretty easy if your careful and just avoid fighting

@k0rk1 yea it does, but i did this on my 2nd gameplay knowning i would need to play the game 5 times on my own and wanting to get it done before the release of battlefield 3, like i have said over and over, i play all new game releases and dont like to start one if i have not gotten the other done ( Because of Trophy Date ) i start them get them to 100% ( Platinum ) and then move on!

This is BS, I've been grinding for over a 100+ hours to upgrade my light armour, get to lvl 99 and get some spells and buy some rings. Then I see this shit, and the fact that just about everyone wears the same couple of armour sets and most just use lightning weapons with TWOP I'm giving up on PVP in this game, I never win because everyone has the same shit, I tried to make my character different, don't do it you'll never win.

the info here is wrong, it only depends on your stamina if you don't have the shield that regens stamina equipped (i think its called grass shield or something). if you have that shield equipped, you can get infinite amount of souls.

One thing. Put on grass crest shield so your stamina bar dosent drop and you hold x(xbox) or [] (ps3) or tape it down and leave it for an hr or two. You will go up about 100 levels. Im at 300+ and its about fifteen billion to level...once
