  • I just finished building mine, Check it out at: /watch?v=JIYwVCDsUSU (This isnt spam, its actually a sweet mini)

  • @FishEyeFilm99 fuck yeah man, nicely done! how dya get on with the coping? is it concrete cant really tell

  • just from tht wone pick of a feeble u look madd good.... extra points for steeze

  • Amaizin mann this iz such a good ideaa

  • @freecontheory thanks man, when i first thought of doin it i dismissed it for bout a year because figured itd be too hard, but really it was actually kinda easy just takes hard work, but the things you do are easy, just tiring

  • Did you just use regular quikrete?

  • i love it man im gonna try this :DD do you know what concrete it was or any of the materials ??? i have been aggressive inline skating for 4 years now and wow just amazing bro :)

  • @iBHDKicKz thanks man appreciate it, if you read through all the comments and questions that other guys have asked me you should get all the info you need, if not just ask and ill do my best to help ya out!

  • @Troxton thanks very much you should record you skatin on it it would be beast!!!

  • @iBHDKicKz no bothers at all! ill hopefully be making some vids soon with detailed instructions on how to make shit and what not to do and stuff and if i do ill slap bit of skating in there aswell

  • @Troxton yeah im going to do a small practice work like a small ledge just so i get the hang of smoothing it down and such.. but tomorow im going for gold! hah im getting up early and working on it all morniing so by mid day it will be able to dry..

  • @GhostKillz520 best way to learn, remember wooden frames make it much easier to get decent level concrete, you want good gravel in your concrete, lots of rocks and mud and shit underneath (not wood coz it will rott and create holes inside and then make it weak on top) dont make your mix too wet also it needs to be wetish but not runny, also make sure you dont skate it for atleast 4 days, the longer the better coz youll fuck it up, after concrete has set, throw water on it often, will harden it

  • @Troxton yeah the cracks are running straight up and down the whole area they criss cross run up and down each other its a mess.. if you look at it you could go hey thats pretty nice i could do something with it so coming here im just gonna pile up the rocks around it maybe make it like a pocket for a bowl type thing.but my main idea is start by making it wider because its about naturaly 4 feet wide but i have enough cinderblocks at my house (grandpa is a nut) then take it from there

  • @GhostKillz520 well id suggest the cement and water to patch up cracks, but really just fucking go for it, concrete is great to work with and once you get the hang of it you'll be thinking up all kinds of stuff to make, if ur unable to fix up the area because of chipped broken concrete though then you could just re concrete the whole area because the existing concrete will make a great sturdy base for new concrete and you'll have yourself a smooth skateable area u can shred for decades!!

  • @Troxton well im planning to make a quarter pipe and theres almost a natural transistion near my house so its perfect but the problem is it has major cracks and it has potential to be an almost 6 foot tall quarterpipe about 10feet wide! so i got lucky .. im going to make a video of me making it this friday sub to me and ill put you in the tags

  • @GhostKillz520 sweet man, i would def suggest still using wooden templates for your transition, ive tried making them just by eye and it works fine for banks and stuff but for proper ramps its tough. where are the cracks on the concrete running upto it or where youll be concreting? if u mix a sovel of portland cement and just water and get it nice and runny its perfect for touchin up cracks and shit, hard to work with it but it gets super hard and strong

  • 1. Where did you get the coping? 2. has it held up well sinse you made it? 3. How long did it take?

  • @GhostKillz520 got the coping from local builders supply place, came in 16ft lengths and hack sawed it in half, its still perfect now, took bout 3 or 4 months to get it finished right but i built it myself

  • how many bags of cement do you need for 1 quarterpipe.

  • @spparkie1 how big is the quarter pipe? how wide, how tall are the trannies and how big do ya want the deck?

  • @Troxton the same you made only 1 quarterpipe insteed of whole mini ramp.

  • also, how many bags of cement for that transisition slab? how many square feet is it? how deep is it? thanks for the help , much appreciated!

  • @jonathanshade95 the transitions are bout 10 feet wide, couple bags of cement, 3 maybe, including top platform. try and get a good few inches of fill material into where your concreting and then nice and deep with the crete bout 3 inch minimum, the more the better, i didnt bother with rebar, pain in the arse

  • What did you do about the back of the miniramp that wasnt against the wall? Did you just pour cement over the rocks?

  • @Sk8allwaysXD yeah i stacked the rocks and added concrete in the gaps and stuff to make it sturdy, I WOULD NOT SUGGEST DOING THIS! i did it to save myself the cost of building a block wall, but i used so many rocks doing it i could have built more shit, so if you can, just build yourself a block wall to build against because its worth it

  • What's cheaper wood or cement?!?!?

  • @apple57701 depends on what tools and materials you start with, for me concrete was about 3rd of the price compared to wood, and it will last forever

  • @Troxton how much did it cost because a wooden one is $383.00

  • @apple57701 about 100 euro but i had lot of the shit already

  • how did u make the quarterpipe so crisp and paralel ? did u use wood to parallel and even it out end to end (coping E2 E .NOT transition E 2 E)

  • @gumbo916 yeah man, i had tranny cut from my wooden ramp, took it apart and what i did was stake the wooden frames into the ground to keep them stable, then i built block walls inside the frame using the shape to make sure i didnt come out past the skateable surface of the ramp, then i filled with rocks and shit whatever you can get, then when u put the concrete in you "seesaw(sp?)" from side to side with long piece of wood using the wooden frames' edge as a guide to concrete up to

  • @gumbo916 happy to answer any other questions you have too man because its worth making, my ramp been going strong now for over a year and ive only had to do a few lil touch ups here and there

  • how much does the concrete cost?? and what music is that??

  • @RaoulnJoy hard to say cost exactly. costs 160 euro for a huge load of gravel, 4 euro a bag for cement, depends on how much youre building and what tools you already have, i had all the tools i needed but if you dont that will set you back a bit... the music is a band called KING PRAWN theyre not together but still wprth checkin out as they got some quality albums if u can find em

  • @Troxton thanks, but for a miniramp as high as that one it is about 1 bag of cement??

  • @RaoulnJoy no im just saying the cost of one bag, i used many many bags of cement, and a pretty big pile of gravel, for a good strength mix of concrete you want to have 4 showels of gravel to every one showel of cement, water will vary depending on how dry/wet you want your mix, each tranny took maybe 3 or 4 full concrete mixes from the mixer. what is it your looking to build ill help you with it as much as i can!

  • why did the concrete fuck up like that?

  • @kylemuirr it was a layer of sand and cement and because there was no gravel in it for strength it just kept chipping, so i took the hammer drill to it to make it rough so i could concrete over it again, the concrete wouldnt have binded to the flat surface and that flat surface was to weak, so i had to fuck it up to fix it.

  • how much did this entire thing cost? I just had my bday and got some money.. and want to build somethin like this.

  • @DecoyCruz hard to say really, i fucked the first layer up so had to cover that again.. also my dad alreay had the big load of gravel and a concrete mixer! u cud make a quarter without a mixer but a whole mini without would be a pain in the balls, cement is cheap enough 4 euro a bag. it depends on what stuff you have, if u have nothing at all like it be expensive but if u have access to tools and materials its pretty fucking cheap, ALOT cheaper den wood and better to skate so go for it!!

  • God. That's soon. Sick and dope. Looks easy.

  • @slapuhho easy enough to make man, did all that shit on my own, get bit of help u could throw that shit together in a week, and it lasts, only needed few touch ups now after a year still rock solid!

  • nicee

  • nice man and king prawn music lol

  • @str8edgehc thanks man, ya gotta love d sound of KP IN YO FUCKIN FACE!

  • Nice job. Looks fun!

  • looks gnar, where abouts ye livin hahahahha

  • @Tomasthesk8dude co cork ireland. fairly gnar alright, well worth learnin how to concrete for it

  • @Troxton I've found a spot funnily enough, to mix the concrete do you just add water?

  • @Tomasthesk8dude finding spot is the hard bit, u need to mix gravel, cement and water, 4 shovels of gravel to every 1 shovel of cement. u can mix it by hand but it will be a pain in the hole, if u can get cement mixer ur flying, u basically need rocks and mud and shit, cover that with ur crete and smooth dat shit out, i did and redid the whole surface 3 times before it was right so be prepared for sum work!

  • @Troxton right yeah, and that gives a smooth surface? (obviously when worked with a trowel)

  • @Tomasthesk8dude it will get smoother with practice, u need a magnesium trowel and u wanna work it til smooth but dont over work it, i found if u leave it dry a lil bit, den apply small amounts of water u can get it fairly smooth, just go for it tho man fucking class skating ur own spot

  • Surface is covered with something, or this is just concrete???

  • @lukasx7 i did concrete and then layer of sand and cement for smooth finish but twas weak as piss so i chipped it off and put regular concrete on and kept workin it til it was smooth and now its strong and smooth
