Yes, Alex might be an unripe banana but his voice is a winner! I am an avid watcher of AI and honestly he is totally unique and GOOD! He deserves a record contract as his sound is totally marketable! His sound is more marketable than Dewyze and I was for Dewyz and Bowersox from the time of the auditions. Maybe Ellen can make the connections to give Alex a break.

Another wonderful performance! I just love his voice and his singing style. I wish he could've lasted longer on Idol so we could get some studio recordings out of him and could've seen him on the tour this summer. Alex Lambert is amazing, he should not have gone home AT ALL. He's so cute and his voice is so unique and good, I'd so sign a petition to get him to back. He's so much better than most of the guys on the show.

If Alex is back, then maybe that will stir up a little healthy controversy which is exactly what Idol needs to boost their ratings. Imagine how high the ratings would be with Alex back? And besides, every year there is some sort of change in how things are done to shake things up and keep everything interesting, so for this year, why not make that change be ALEX LAMBERT? It's perfect. Fox, do you see how much this would help you? Bring back Alex Lambert, Fox, you know you want to.

I know the producers did not force him to sing it, but of course Alex is going to want to take their advice, wouldn't you? If you didn't have any albums or much experience performing songs in front of others. Which, btw, reminds me of another point: Lee Dewayze has an album or two out already--and he looked much more nervous than Alex Lambert ever did! Imagine that! (That is based on WHEN I was still watching the show, before I boycotted it since Alex left)

I can't believe that the producers told him to sing the other song (Trouble) over this beautiful version of "Let Me Love You" on Ellen. He was clearly more comfortable with the latter; and so I see that as the producers being responsible in his elimination.

you do realize that that petition does absolutely nothing right? You can have a million signatures but it doesnt mean he's coming back on the show, i mean he is good and i went to highschool with him so i know who he is but i still think that the petition is useless.

I honestly have not seen a single person who DOESNT like Alex. Yet, he gets voted off. I honestly have not seen a single person who HAS such a unique and prominent voice this season. Yet, he gets voted off.

They to need to make things right with him and viewers by giving him the wildcard now that there's a opening in the top 12! It make the much more interesting to hear Ryan say, "America here's your Top 12, again." Everyone knows the producer swayed him, so its not like anyone would have an issue with it!

Wow 2 videos of this performance together have 60,000 unique views in just 3 & half days! That's more than his Trouble perf. had after a week! If that doesn't say anything about whether this song was the better choice I don't what does! Everything the judges criticized him for w/ Trouble is exactly what he wanted to do and did do with this song!!!! Did more with the song, acoustic guitar, piano, just him singing, and comfortable being him!! exactly what kara wanted! This is just so wrong!

You have the wonderful tone and soul of singers, Stevie Winwood (Blind Faith) and Gary Brooker (Procul Harum) (listen to them) - PLEASE nurture your talent, don't EVER let something like that American Idol nonsense get in your way. Alex should have sang this song on idol instead! I liked this one way better! I guess cuz I'm a teen and the Mario song sounds way more current. I just found out the Trouble song is only a few years old, but I automatically assumed it was something from the '70s or something. Why did the producer tell him to sing Trouble? Ugh.

Alex Lambert, you are possibly the best singer American Idol has ever seen....You are a one of a kind, amazingly talented rising star and this is why you are getting more attention than any of the other contestants :D I can't believe the producers talked you into singing 'Trouble', good grief it was like they were setting you up! Please FOX bring back Alex and make good on your BIG mistake, let him sing the songs he wants to sing....he deserves the chance to prove his IS the next American Idol!

Idol has GOT to bring Alex back!! I LOVE this performance-- Alex said in an interview that he was supposed to sing this the week he got voted off, but a producer told him to sing "Trouble" instead-- a song totally wrong for his demographic!! This season of Idol was already a weaker one, and without Alex it's just plain TERRIBLE. AI needs him back in more ways than they even know.

If that Idol producer would have kept his mouth shut and let Alex play Mario's song, like he orginially wanted to, then I have no doubt that he would still be on the show. I totally agree.. Alex coincidentally whose name is so close to last season's Star Adam Lambert.. Wow.. too 'musical Lambs' how beautiful a gift to us all. I actually think Alex is the Best Soul American Idol has had grace its stages. Something very pure about this boy and his voice is so different but so beautiful that I just want to hear him sing every song ever made. So, yeah I agree America is apparently lost especially when I see some the talent left on the show. Wow? How confusing a show.

Lamberts voice is unique and will get known but I think more in the UK (hope Andrew Garcia wins though) :)

This kid has an AMAZING AND UNIQUE Voice...his talent reminds me of John Mayer and Rod Stewart...and definitely a lot cuter than those two...I hope somebody gives him a contract...he will do well. I can't stop listening to his song he sang on AI , TROUBLE,,,great talent. Too bad!!!

Another wonderful performance! I just love his voice and his singing style. I wish he could've lasted longer on Idol so we could get some studio recordings out of him and could've seen him on the tour this summer. Maybe he'll do a coffee-house tour in a van the old-school way! :-) Can't wait for your album, Alex!
