@2012Elysium True man, but the current era no longer produces any good pop, which used to be the case in 80s and 90s. Nowadays you gotta look for some good stuff outside mainstream.

@sezmoth oh yeah, I just think it runs on shorter time periods. And you do have to bare in mind that they've lost alot from one of the main categories, ie pop rock in recent years. If another category grows stronger then it's likely to reflect on the pop side. I think the 2000s have produced some excellent dance tunes, which, of course are many remixed pop tunes.
