I've has chondros "GTP's" going on seven years now and everyone one is different. Meaning some of they are calm as can be and will take to often handling, but some are a bit high strung and get kinda snappy. You have to learn how to approach these sanke, you can't just reach in there and grab them the way you can with most other snakes. Before you take the jump and get into chondros I would pick up the book. "The more complete chondro" It will give you a good idea what your getting into.

I hardly think you d have to worry about one constricting a human. They generally only grow up to six feet so unless its a small child, they re harmless other than their bite.

@GrayArea007 that's not weird at all, a lot of snakes are cute.look up ball pythons, hognose snakes,carpet pythons,emerald tree boas, brazilian or columbian rainbow boas,columbian red tail boas,corn snakes,and rat snakes.snakes are beautiful and many in the pet trade have insane unrealistic color variations.snakes in captivity if taken care of well and handled often can be great pets that love attention. tame snakes aren't aggressive or snappy because they loose their wild nature

I got a PHD in wildlife Biology and I have traveled to Australia, New Guniea studying GTP and I have pictures, data charts, video, and journals indicating that "YES" GTP do eat birds! hahaha! I mean GTP are mainly bird eaters in their native range, they eat king fishers, native pegieons and doves, and even bird of prey nestlinigs! So go get a life and never call me fagg busta!!!
