  • Idra is my hero.

  • I really respect IdrA because he has said before that he thinks Nestea is terrible, but he's obviously reconsidered that and tried to incorporate some of Dr. Tea's strats

  • First time i've ever seen a <10 minute game that "that player" wins

    Well, avoid spoiler...

  • Made my day lol

  • I generally hate Idra because the dude never ever ever tries anything creative or new or early game, but man, Idra adapted to the protoss fast expand, and i'm very happy for him.

  • @MrSoychi Because what you just watched wasn't creative.......

  • Comment removed

  • im surprised to see Idra doing this, good show!

  • What is so good about it is that nobody would expect Idra to do it

  • niiiiceeee

  • Idra better thanks NesTea for creating this with his a abycuss xD

  • HUE HUE IM BRONZE AND I CALL EVERYTHING CHEESE!!!!

THEY ARE SO BAD!!! IDRA NOOB!!!!11

  • spine/spore crawlers take 6 seconds to root since the patch... you'be been saying 12 seconds for many videos now

  • @diggsandshwams The patch only applied to spore crawlers - Spine Crawlers remain the same as pre-patch. Also note that it's game seconds, which are not the same as real life seconds.

  • @diggsandshwams only spores mate.

  • Wow I love that!

  • Awesome strat!

  • The genius zerg Nestea did this to AnyPro during GSL May and eventually went on to win his 2nd championship :>

  • I've noticed something with some shout casters like crota, it seems we are mostly always looking at one player as he fights someone else, instead of watching both players fight each other. It just feels like more attention is usually given to one player over the other.

  • IT was really idra :O Im surprised :3

  • To quote someone relevant to this ...

    - Hell ,Its about time. -

Referring of course to Idra finally learning to play the damn game.

  • go Idra!

  • Cheese (good or bad) is what evil geniuses do :D And yes, mouse got punished for not scouting and walling, blaming idra for that is like saying "wow i set up a fire and you brought water". Awesome game anyway.

  • Oh my goodness, Idra actually said GG.. .mind you it was a response GG. Was a good play by Idra.

  • That's not cheese at all. Cheese is off one-base and IdrA was abusing the Forge FE. That's strategy and a hard counter.

  • Why did he tech up if his plan was a spine crawler rush? Argos' spine crawler rush was tighter but this one was different.

Cheese is when a player uses a very cheap tactic like blocking off the bottom of his opponent's ramp with bunkers or pylons. Most all-ins or fast-tech rushes (DT, banshee) are forms of cheese. Cheese is shameful when it's your crutch to victory b/c you're too unskilled to out-macro and out-micro your opponent.

  • @Kogerii He needs to get to Lair tech so his overlords can drop creep to build and root the spines on the front door.

  • @BaronLez

He could use the hatchery trick to place a creep tumor like Argos.

  • nestea's build

  • that was not cheese that was awesome tactics....

  • Wow thord time to see idra doing some unorthodox. Nice

  • just pure strategy against a tipical Forge FE.

I don't like the bad manners of Idra but this was great. Congrats and gg :)

    Thanks Crota ;)

  • NESTEA!!!! This is his piece of genius right here

  • What protoss is doing, how isn't that considered cheese?

What was Idra supposed to do, just let him macro up, hell no. You bust that shit down, and win.

    You cheese the cheeser!!!

  • Cheese is great, MOAR cheese!

  • *SPOILER*

    *SPOILER*

    *SPOILER*

    IDRA CHEESING?! WTF!

Ps. I love the "new" IdrA. With not only macroing but also mixing his style up. (Ofc macro is his game :D)

  • This is not pioneered by EGIdrA, its first used by two times GSL Champion IMNesTea.

  • That wasn't cheese, against zerg a Forge FE with wall off should ALWAYS be followed up by a Stargate and a Chrono-boosted Voidray. If Idra had chosen to Roach bust he'd have been just as successful with a follow-up of mass Lings.

  • under 5 minute lair ftw

  • This wasn't cheese at all -_-. Doing this against a forge FE is almost a guaranteed win!

Since this build doesn't need gas for unit production (obv gas for speed and lair) a zerg can easily tech up behind the spine/ling push.

  • If a player can't defend against cheese with cautious early play and good scouting then they should reconsider their career in competitive play.

  • this is the build that IMnestea used in GSL may

  • Yeah cheese isnt evil but you still can rage against it

  • Wow, a cheese from our famous i-hate-cheese No 1 zerg pro? really?

you know, recently, my cat started to swim and my car could fly...

  • Ty for youre uploads crota there amazing and i love to watch each and everyone of them. say hi to the 'wife' and youre baby girl for me :D greetings from holland

  • İdra is a negative person thats true, But he is a good player, what makes him angy is better macro and tech from zerg getting raped by marines or some fag force fields etc. And people who hate idra is usually toss or terran players who are comfort of their races OP..

  • Let me address some comments. First - Yes I know another player did it in a major tournament first. It doesn't take away the fact that winner has something new in the bag of tricks. Secondly - Cheese should not be considered bad. I define cheese as non-standard/not straightup style of play. Using unorthodox methods to achieve victory. It sucks losing to cheese don't get me wrong... but cheese is not evil.

  • @BlizShouter Despite your explanation I still believe that labelling Idra's play as cheese is innacurate. The Protoss assumed that he could wall off, build a couple sentries, and play blind without having to worry about what his opponent was doing. While cheese isn't evil necessarily, it does imply a certain cheapness and also little strategic recourse on the part of the person being cheesed. Punishing a player who chooses to play blind is not a form of cheese. That's called strategy.

  • @BlizShouter People rage at cheese coz they dont know how to deal with it.

  • This is HasuObs playing, 100% sure. Watched this game on evil geniuses master's cup series

  • Excuse me, but how is this cheese? It is a clever way of getting your units through... mousesports didnt bother getting much of an army and had to pay the full price: losing

  • @koffiegast

This is cheese because it is very risky and has no reasonable follow up, just look at the drone count.

Cheese is, though, only bad in excessive amounts. Otherwise it's just delicious.

  • @japphan Ehh that is the definition of in all-in, not cheese. It isn't like he hid them in the protoss base, it was right out front. If he went roaches instead of 3 spine crawlers... everyone would say 'WOW NICE TACTICS :D:D" and nobody wouldve considered it "cheese" or "all-in".

  • @koffiegast

Then make a definition of cheese. You will see, that it has to be an all in play to be a cheese. A coincidence?

    Come on.

  • @japphan nothing is wrong with cheese, if you dont scout properly or early enough, its your fault, plus mouse knew that if he expanded early he had that risk of an all in

~_~ dude get with the program, mouse double expanded so he was so vularable

  • @kkskeshava

I have never said anything bad about cheese.

Please read comments, or stop trolling.

  • @japphan Alright, consider the following:

Many people view bunkerrush as cheesing, yet it doesn't hurt the Terran's options And what about banshees? Aren't they cheese? Or proxy warpgate/cannonrush? They are often called cheese, yet often not an all-in.

Said that, Idra was still not in a position that he was 'all-in', he had two bases up and running and wasn't in a disadvantage economywise. He was also not close to dying as the Protoss didn't even have an army...

  • @koffiegast

Bunkerrush is standard solid play. Players considering it cheese are just nubs who lose to it. Banshee play is not cheese. 1-1-1 is one of the most solid ways of playing terran.

Most proxy plays are all in, meaning that they have to do significant damage to be solid. Hence most of them are cheese.

"[Idra] wasn't in a disadvantage economywise" You silly person. Look at the worker count. Idra was WAY behind. This means that in 5 minutes, protoss would have a bigger army.

  • @japphan So, basically Idra can not adapt his play when the protoss is playing blind? I mean, basically according to your standards, anyone that makes an army and attacks another base at the cost of economy/tech is 'cheesing'? Or is it only cuz he used spine crawlers? You realize that if he were to go roaches it would take him probably 2 minutes, enough time for the protoss to build an army... whereas with spine crawlers he could already make them?

  • @koffiegast

Yes, he can. And he should. He SHOULD cheese. Cheese is good.

I consider the roach ling all in cheesy as well. If you don't break opponent's wall, you say gg.

This is a better cheese on this map.

By the way, protoss played slightly cheesy as well, but the less hated on econ style cheese.

"unorthodox play that often involves radical strategies" applies very well to this game. Had Protoss scouted the fast lair, he would know something was up, and (probably) won.

  • @koffiegast And, by the way: You wasn't able to define cheese. Thanks for proving my point.

  • @japphan Tunnelvision much?

I define cheese: unorthodox play that often involves radical strategies such as walling in another persons base (see MC vs Idra 7) in or proxy 2rax. As soon as it is discovered the person will likely lose. Also often done blindly as they simply do it with the expectation to quickly win (cannonrush anyone?). This game isn't cheese for the reasons I told you before and other agree.

And by the way it is "weren't"

  • This play was invented by IMNeste he did it in GSL match

  • the faggot that hates cheese...cheeses

  • cool, i never seen this play before

  • I thought he'd go for an overlord full of zerglings and drop it on the main. Bad guess.

  • Dang, nice strategy for dealing with the teching toss.

  • IM Nestea popularised this rush months ago........

  • 111likes, 1 dislike....... conspiresy!

  • Idra is good, no doubt about that, top tier Zerg player in US. Still, he still can't go toe to toe with the top Korean players yet. End of story. (at least for now)

  • @blackshilen Except for when he beat MC 2-0 in MLG, and took RO8 in Code S, losing out to another foreigner.

  • @Vega62a Yeah. And if I'm correct, he then lost to MC 4-0 in the next round they met.

  • that was awesome

  • I like Idra but I'd love to see Argos more =X He bought my love with Queen Hatchery trick and Spine rush =X

  • IMNestea was the first with this strategy at the gsl may.....

  • err, someone did this 3 weeks ago, i forgot who but i remember i watched it in gomtv gsl, if protoss get stargate straight after cyber core, protoss may defend it, but as the match i watched, protoss still lost to the zerg in not so one sided way as compared to this video

  • And people say Idra is not creative...

  • @PlanetCracker done by spanishiwa 7800000004564841 games ago

  • @azir64 What would spanish do in this situation? Just get 3 bases in three minutes and then die by a timing push because he only has drones.

  • @PlanetCracker Someone seems jealous. Actually spanishiwa doesn't loose that much. And his mechanics are solid as hell as well. I've seen him beat the hell out of TLO and other high level players. But your an "I'm gonna use the same build every game" Idra so I understand your comment.

  • @PlanetCracker maybe, maybe not. spanish does get spines though.. and with his scouting he may be able to build enough lings in time.

  • @kawaimto Have you seen the matches between him and sixjaxmajor?? Even after major pushed early two times in a row and won the games becuse of the early push, spanish still continued to try and macro in the third. Of course another early push saw him lose this fame as well.

  • yeah this is hasuobs indeed

  • Well played by Idra! Cool idea.

  • loooool zerg cheese awesome

  • :P spiney

  • idra cheeses????

    suckering suckatash!!!

  • Macro Macro Macro - Welcome to SC2

Anything other then Macro is Cheese :D

  • he plays more games anyways

  • lol, the way u talk about idra at the first few minutes kinda revealed the winner in this matchup.

  • Idra is the shit.... That was some mind blowing game play

  • @blklacker Nestea played this strategy 2 month ago in GSL

  • Wooow very nice from Idra, awesome!

  • nestea build <3

  • Nestea did this in the GSL May!

  • Very creative play from Idra, though his attitude needs some fine tuning, I'm glad to see him deter from his usual roach corruptor army to a more interesting way of taking down his opponent. Common misconception: Sentry, photon builds won't solve all of your problems -.-

  • i would love some wine with that cheese.

  • haha

  • idra rushed for something :O

  • idra takes tip from the zerg king nestea :)

  • @GreenPaint010 lol, zerg king also kinda refers to idra as he is the king of foreign zerg...

  • No one is supposed to fast expand besides zerg, apparently.

  • What, an Idra match that lasts longer than 2 minutes?

    He must win this one...

  • as much as I like Idra's rage quit, I love his play style as well.

  • well there is at least 1 way to beat protoss at a pro lvl

  • FUCK PROTOSS!!!!!!!!!! FOR THE SWARM!!!!!!!

  • Crota thanks for showing us this game.

  • reminds me of ArgosZenith's spine crawler rush. If you guys havent seen it, its on crotas channel.

  • Lol "semi cheese" - Forge FE into 3 bases is cheesy

  • nice i love idra for this

  • wow idra doing something different!

  • I wonder if NesTea's way or Idra's way is better? Nestea got speed first I think and kept 1 guy on gas until 100 gas and got a lair.

  • .... lol Idra nice finally some innovation!

  • Idra was thinking: "Beat toss early, or you don't beat em at all."

  • @dangolo Well according to Idra, "Zerg isn't suppose to beat Protoss."

  • @dietketchup but idra still got 4th didnt he? and he was also a S-code player before he went back.

  • @dietketchup no, hes even better

  • @dietketchup

Lol Idra Was top 8/top 16 in GSL when left Korea. He is a top player. Bout the MC thing he was troling. Duh.

Besides this play was first done by nestea in the GSL, its not like he made this build.

And last the opponenent of this game was Hasuobns a very talented player from ze germanz.

  • @dietketchup

Erm, Idra was Code S in the GSL mutliple times and lived in korea for 3 years. I don't know where you get your info, but it is horribly wrong.

Idra is one of the best prepared players and one of the absolute top zergs in the world. The reason he didn't go top3 in mlg is probably because he erronously left a sure win against MMA (who later won MLG)

  • @HereticInExile Well said sir. I hate all the IdrA haters. I mean he does tend to overreact and hates playing when he THINKS he is behind, but I would definitely agree that he is easily among the top zerg players in the world. The interview he was referring to was on TL's youtube page and it was of IdrA being SARCASTIC, idk why people in this world do not tend to understand it nowadays. It is actually a very funny interview and you should definitely check it out. :)

  • @dietketchup The interview was sarcastic... Wow, how clueless can you be.. I'm not saying IdrA is as good as the koreans, but you should be able to spot the sarcasm in that interview!

  • @dietketchup You can't be serious. Do you mean this interview? /watch?v=yPskOimdW4c You realize he was joking, right? As far as I know, IdrA had played against MC before, so he obviously knew who he was.

  • @dietketchup IdrA definitely knows oGsMC, dude. IdrA was obviously joking.

  • @dietketchup the one that idra got banned in an interview for 15 seconds? that was hilarious man

  • @dietketchup u realise that interview with IdrA in after thouse games in the MLG he was trolling hard.....

  • @dietketchup LOL dude that interview was a joke. Idra knows who MC is

  • @dietketchup he was joking you piece of shit

  • @dietketchup

YOU KNOW THAT WAS A TROLL INTERVIEW RIGHT? And as far as SC2 is concerned Idra was a pro in Korea. Get your facts right.

  • @dietketchup IdrA is good -- I enjoy watching his game because he is solid with his play and if you watch his stream while he's talking he analizes the game his playing and reason for why hes making his move

  • @dietketchup haha good one....oh you're not joking, you genuinely thought idra didn't know who MC was...bless.

  • Comment removed

  • @dietketchup cool comment removed, but in reply to your comment mc had no last laugh he claimed he would win and didn't get 1st or 2nd.

  • @SuppleOldMan lol. yes i was actually thinking that after i posted the comment. im really looking forward to Anaheim and im sure we will see some awesome SC2!!!!

  • @dietketchup You do know that he was being sarcastic in that interview, don't you?

    No?

    Okay.

  • @dietketchup i'm pretty sure when he said he didn't know who MC was he was joking. *woosh*

  • @copyrightdna woosh? lol... yeah maybe he was joking, but i think MC got the last laugh this time.

  • @dangolo

lol, it seems like Idra thinks that a lot now

  • overkill!!!

  • Amazing play!! im going to have to try this some time!

  • Nestea did it on the GSL but I'm glad idra doing it aswell.

  • Definitely a more interesting play by Idra. Nice vid!

  • I wonder if OGSMC's void ray instead of the robo would have stopped this.. doubt it, but MC's sentry play would have been better..

  • this was a bit popular on korean server a long time ago

  • Snape kills Dumbledore.

  • @AskJoel678 Spoiler lol

  • @kingboy868 i think half the world knows by now

  • @barsondor ORLY

  • saw nestea do it first.

  • triple drone split...GG

  • Cool...but not as fun as a ragequit

  • @wazzobazzo You know Idra is an amazing player, its a shame ignorant people like you only know him for his rage quits.

  • @XlazorzX00 I know he's a great player. I'm a fan of his for that but also enjoy the ragequits because it livens the game up (way more interesting than generic gg's everytime).

As for me being ignorant...you don't have a clue who I am so fuck you and learn not to judge people over one sentence you sad idiot:)

  • That was pretty awesome lol!

  • im famous

  • HI

  • salam

  • @GreedAndDoom i believe salam is hello in islamic language right?

  • @joelpalkia in allahs language

  • Hello

  • hi
