@CattleRanche The budget was balanced because the Democratic majority in 1993 passed the Budget Reconciliation Act and they had to balance the budget. Republicans get lucky like that. Just like the Democrats action of passing the American Recovery Act stopped a depression and now has us with almost 2 straight years of private sector job growth. Republicans were elected in the middle of that, and had nothing to do with it. The only thing they've accomplished was getting a downgrade to AA+.

As to watching Rush... he has had cameras in his booth for years. He also sometimes makes TV appearances.

When Bush first got in office we HAD NO DEBT. We had a surplus under Clinton.
So, it didn't take 232 years to accumulate that debt. It only took 8 measly years of Bush filling his war chest, deregulating banks and lowering taxes on the rich to create the $14 trillion debt that he left for Obama to clean up.

@CattleRanche The budget was balanced because the Democratic majority in 1993 passed the Budget Reconciliation Act and they had to balance the budget. Republicans get lucky like that. Just like the Democrats action of passing the American Recovery Act stopped a depression and now has us with almost 2 straight years of private sector job growth. Republicans were elected in the middle of that, and had nothing to do with it. The only thing they've accomplished was getting a downgrade to AA+.
