  • I WANNA HAVE HER BABIES.

I'm sure bioscience can make it possible in the near future too.

  • lets not give up everything to science, remember it was only 500 or so years ago that the scientific concensus was...the earth was flat...

  • @DonDahab Its wasnt a scientific consensus . It was a general layman belief. No scientific experimentation had been done on the matter to deem it a scientific consensus.

  • As a true man, I find it absolutely disgusting that an attractive, intelligent women with multiple degrees and a mind of gold, has to be pitifully reduced to a sexual object, and sexualised. The men who write these sexist comments and thumbs up 'pilf' have small brains and small penis' and can not hold a candle to the multitude of educated driven women. Men need to grow the fuck up and stop the childish sexism its embarrassing beyond words and counter productive to societies progression.

  • @akadaka69 yeah but did you see the rack on her.

  • @TheCoffeeNut711 grow up. you wont get girls with that mindset

  • @akadaka69

Sanctimonious comments like this make me want to barf. I would much rather fantasize about a sexy, brainy woman like Lisa Randall than some bimbo like Kim Kardashian. Save your white knight crap for someone who cares.

  • Any woman who ever claims that men don't appreciate intelligent women just needs to wade through the river of drool in the comments on this video. Contrary to popular belief, men don't dislike or feel threatened by intelligent women--not even by women who are self-evidently more intelligent than us.

Bring it on, Brainy Babes--we'll just love you all the more for it.

  • That's the kind of girl you actually have something to talk about after making love.

  • Never thought both my heads would be stimulated at the same time

  • Comment removed

  • Lol at that PILF comment, but it's true! Cute and smart, quite surely an incredibily interesting woman to talk with and not a stuck up bitch like many I know, where can you find them?

  • I'd love to see her clothes fall towards my floorboard at 9.8 m/s squared.

  • "got turned on" lol

  • Imagine dicking Randall hard in the arsehole.

  • Hot and smart. My kind of gal..

  • I just found my favorite female scientist since Marie Curie.

  • ...hottest physicist EVER!!!

  • To all you idiots making comments on her appearance:

Have some respect...my God, this woman has been in school longer than the average life span of people in 3rd world countries, and all you can do is resort back to primitive and immature remarks?

  • I have judged this video and I have decided to issue a translation of it. This intelligent woman is being politically correct in her delivery but here is what she really means. Creationists are a low brow ridiculous dangerous superstitious cowardly subhuman and they all need to be euthanized and turned to petroleum. As petroleum the creationist can finally offer real Humans something useful. Lubricating and fueling Humans car as they drive a load of bibles and korans to the dump to be burned.

  • @699backstab you should change your name in "666backstab" ;-)

  • @699backstab I have to correct you, being a creationist is politically correct depending on the country you live. In America, having a scientific explanation is offensive to most people here.

  • i mean,i didn`t saw you to mutch around,i mean who are you,i mean are you a physicist?i mean you are using to mutch "i mean",you know what i mean?

  • I would like to talk to her about string bikini theory.

  • You'd have to be Einstein to impress her.

  • Comment removed

  • @john17972 I'm not a physicist, but I can calculate the odds of that ever happening to be inifitely less than never.

    GROW THE FCK UP

  • She had a bad hair day! Maybe she stuck her head into the Large Hadron Collider…

  • @macmarine she was blowing charlie before the show

  • what was she talking about? Take off your top!!

  • cute physicist. i'm excited!

  • Actually living in higher dimensions was first proposed be Edwin Abbott :)

  • Why does the theme song of his show sound like the very badly made soundtrack of a 80's porn movie?

  • @yatah lol, i never thought about the porn connection but now that i think about, the music fits perfectly. works as a prelude to one of those goofy delivery boy scenes with the older only woman who orders a pizza

  • What the hell does Ms Randall's sexuality have to do with anything, especially physics?

  • Lisa Randall is hot!!! I'm not just talking about how she looks; i'm talking about her intelligence and the passion she has for string theory. to me, it's a turn on that a woman is so excited about physics. i wish i could marry her!

  • WTF happen to her hair , U see that ?

  • She's CLEARLY gay.

  • @angela1894 Is someone gonna tell this LEZZA to get back in the kitchen? I mean equations? The only equation you'll ever understand is doing the cooking and washing up!!!

  • An interesting gal!

  • Not like she is a real scientist. She is worthy of performing her females duties on me though.

  • i hope your recieving treatment

  • @joehenger

    Sexist trash.

  • ok im sorry.

    Shes a true Rembrandt.

You all just believe everything she says and ill believe the Bible and we will see who is right in the end.

    GLHF

  • @Remogogy if everything you say is either stupid or evil

  • just sex

  • Why is Ohm's Law the same equation as the rocket thrust equation

V=I x R and not V= I / R? Imagine a flash light bulb connected to a 1.5 v battery and ask yourself why it does not blow up influenced by time.

Gamma Ray Burst energy levels show us that points of observation increase exponentially that's why. See HECO case file answer to experts. “We got that on Tape!”.

    So did Jason….

To understand time you have to establish a date first and you do this by finding a single observer.

    JFH^^

  • @Remogogy

Well that was ridiculously sexist! (And yes, I'm Male).

It's not that she's saying anything wrong or inarticulately. You're just used a seeing middle aged white men in this kinda position. Try and help get rid of these stereotypes rather than propogating them!

  • @Remogogy

Are you deaf? Or just an asshole?

  • She's an amazing physicist and this is a fantastic book!! ;-)

  • Enthusiastic genius!

  • you guys are fucking ho's, she's really not hot at all...

  • Mind = Blown

    What an amazing person.

  • PILF ...

  • @EXoTjC LOL!

  • @EXoTjC phisisist i'd like to fuck.... nice

  • @EXoTjC LOL!

  • If we consider that the direction in which time flows and the space density are related so that a less dense universe corresponds to a unit of time at a higher position in the stack of time, would this suggest that reducing the density of the universe would make the next unit of time sink to a corresponding lower position in the stack of time?

  • @gattonero583 Time does not flow in a particular direction, it's a dimension. Dimensions don't flow, the length of a dimension is infinite.

  • i w=WOULD KAMA SUTRAIZE HER UNTIL SHE CONVULSED INTO SAMADHI

  • I want to get into her warped pocket of extra dimensions!

  • I wonder what it's like to bone a smart dame like her. Would my dick learn something from her putty?

  • @bonnarj7 Wow your scientifically way more advanced than me and your making such a juvenile comment. Your 42!

  • @netminderxp What's your point? Keep in mind that you've already admitted that he's more advanced than you.

  • Holy shit!!!! She's smoking hotttttttt!!!!

  • Ms Randall, contrary to what may be said, hasn't the slightest interested in being "banged" by you, nor did she race to her monitor the day this was posted to see how many males think she is hot. She is much too concerned with the measurement problem, or whether we exist in 11 dimensional branes to trifle much with shessss soooo hotttt omg!!!!111 posts.

  • that's what i'm saying. this shit is really exciting. it's pretty much the answers to everything humans could wonder. all you need to do is care and have passion and you can learn it.

she's fucking hot dude. i'd bang her.

  • Beautiful and smart. You just can't beat that. Lisa Randall proves that beauty and brains can go together, despite what Hollywood would have America think.

  • Alot of people idolize rock stars. I idolize physicists.

  • My large hadron is on collision course with her vag.

  • @MrLeonardmincer hahahaha!!!

  • any wonder western civilization has eclipsed islam, imagine- a - a female, with her face exposed and also speaking in public expressing rational intelligent thoughts!

  • Sorry, lady, the extra dimensions did NOT come out of the equations!!!

  • @AlloBruxelles

You know what she meant. :D

  • @automaticSOM Well, postulating extra dimensions and pretending they "came out of the equations" are very different things...

  • @AlloBruxelles

Well..... the conclusion that there are extra dimensions was arrived at on the basis of the maths.

  • @automaticSOM Just that 10 (perhaps 11) dims make it look like there could be a candidate for a unified theory based on some elegance and symmetry suppositions nobody has proven... thus indirectly a postulate...

  • @AlloBruxelles

Nobody said that string theory was proven, or even nearly proven. She simply said that the maths seems to point toward it.

  • I'm a straight woman...but I found myself super attracted to Lisa Randall...Yum! :)

  • @jocularity13 well, maybe you're semi-straight...it's all good! ;)

  • A WOMAN PHYSICIST, KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!

  • @fsmdidit bahahahahahaha.

  • @fsmdidit LOL

  • haha, this is sooo funny... all the comments are like "yeah, I'd study under her if she was my prof... or on top if she preffered... ;-)" hardly any comments about science at all!

  • Hey we got drunk in a bar together. I tried to hit on her and she suddenly pounded my scrote to a pancake!!

Took me a month to recover...

  • I would study astronomy if she was my prof.

  • ...I'm turned on by the questions she's raised.

  • A woman physicist..? What has the world come to?..

  • @Taowhr

    sexist prick.

  • I don't know if you guys know this (the people with a bit of knowledge probably do), but Brian Greene and her used to be classmates.

  • I would enjoy seeing Angelina Jolie talking to...Lisa Randall....

  • Wow I want to get into her Physics class!

  • warped passages was an awesome book. opened up so much to me.

  • The most brilliant, and stupid at the same time!

  • Truly a brilliant woman.

  • 1:16. Freudian Slip much?

  • Comment removed

  • Beautiful and Intelligent?? I have been looking for this woman for a long time... :)

  • @3AMVideoz

Opposites attracts. You should go for it.

  • id hit it

  • She's beautiful? I don't think so.

  • I didn't hear a single thing she said. I was dreaming of our honeymoon.

  • PLEEASE bear my child......

  • See I go to my science classes wondering why I can't find another Lisa for me! a woman who don't think I'm into boring things! and its a hotty like that!

  • Sounds like a good book but only telling us what we already know or dont know.

What we need is new ideas to explain all the paradoxes we alread have.

  • @nickharvey7 Which one would you like some models for?

  • She reminds me of the character Jodie Foster played in Contact.

  • not as shy though

  • the day lisa randall becomes as well known as paris hilton to american teenagers, is the day we can stop worrying about america's future.

p.s. she is the ultimate catch - very beautiful and very smart.

  • @Nusrat5791 indeed

  • @Nusrat5791 And look at the ring finger.. she also appears to be single ;-)

  • @etcomro - keen eye. she makes me want to be a lesbian. it would be scandalous - i, an agnostic muslim and she a renowned physicist.

on a serious note, we need many, many more girls studying science and math. i am 32, and i would be ecstatic if, in my lifetime, declaring "i am not good at math" became socially embarrassing.

  • @Nusrat5791 'smart' and 'beautiful (regarding looks)' does not mix. Look at any serious person in technical institutes. Then look at women at basic universities. "The more attactive people and higher frequency you find, the weaker (academically) the school will be."

People who keep themselves physically "hot" are too busy being distracted by "ways to make themselves hotter". In a physics class, they are just taking up space

  • @rmkNJ201 This statement is beyond stupid. The biggest contributer to attractiveness requires no effort, it's simply your natural appearance. You seem to imply that physically fit = attractive, but it's demonstrably not so. Do you have evidence to back up the absurd claim that there is a negative correlation between attractiveness of academic prowess at schools? What is a "basic" university, anyway? I think that alone speaks volumes towards your credibility.

  • @Nusrat5791 QFT, you got it man!

  • @Nusrat5791 Having worked with minority high school students, seeing where they apply their often ample intelligence (e.g. sports statistics, television shows, celebrity facts, or not at all), I suspect that lots of young men and women are as smart as this woman, it's just a matter of them feeling the visceral power of their own intellect, then getting comfortable exercising it and training it around their peers. We've let consumerism and spectatorship overgrow our culture, hence our trouble.

  • @firstnamenavarre

I find yours to be a highly salient observation - and one applicable to my society too.

  • @firstnamenavarre

Good point. Maybe you could translate this video to Ebonics.

  • i want to kiss her neck slooooooooooooowly

  • @BarriosGroupie to do that you need to impress her on quantum mechanics. can you?

  • @BarriosGroupie Richard Simmons wants to kiss your ass, sloooooooowly.

  • @BarriosGroupie Well you better NOT be a guy cos she's a lesbian..

  • @angela1894 I'll still kiss that beautiful neck of hers slooooooooooooowly in fact, make that a slooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowly, just to promote good relations between beautiful lesbian women and men.

I'm going to google "randall lesbian" now because i dont believe you.

  • @BarriosGroupie NO need to google it, here is a link:

  • @BarriosGroupie NO need to google it, here is a link:

  • Amazing how theoretical equations predicted Black Holes which were much later confirmed by observational evidence. The same is true for gravity working in about 11 dimensions...

  • hot!..

    Id tap it.

  • I really like her aspect that there are dimensions other than the ones we can see with our own lenses.

  • @Jkelquedi its not her aspect dude....ppl came up with it way before...

  • From one philosopher to many others I entreat you to hear As we pass each other on the long journey we can exchange ideas I will take yours Here are mine Truth cannot be abandoned, it remains Truth cannot be changed If silver is painted black it is still silver If gold is painted red white and blue it is still gold If the truth is obscured from view it is by our deep aspiration to feel important or worthwhile and acceptable Notice how you feel this way by not loving your maker
  • In the absence of the 'infinity' concepet, most of mathematics would simply not function. It is puzzling to mathematicians that many scientists are uncomfortable with an 'infinite' cosmos. Thankfully Physicists like Dr. Lisa Randall have an open mind. Our 'uni-verse' may be like quantum Russian Dolls, extending to infinity? If the 'multi-verse' theory helps explain empirical observations, it does no harm to provisionally adopt it.

  • Yeah she's pretty. Having brains makes her more attractive.

  • what happened to her nose ? Qu+antum distortion

  • would

  • MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

  • whats up andrew... this chick is hot

  • she looks like a man

  • wonderful lisa..u r just wonderful.

  • Wow. I am astounded by the comments of Frederiksen and nevertheless. Do you guys know anything at all about science?

  • cool. sorry cooling!

  • was that the whole interview?

  • Science Fiction drives scientific interest. One helps the other.

  • Comment removed

  • I kinda feel bad for theoretical physicists because a majority of them won't live to see themselves vindicated in their life's work. That being said, you need people like them to get the ball rolling in the first place.

  • what is vindicated to you?

  • That their theories are correct and their life's work had meaning.

  • lol.

  • I would agree with you but move the date to 1970 or so... a lot of great physics came during/after WWII. QED for one...

This Randall woman is a total con artist. She has no physical intuition or mathematic rigor.

  • nono. Feynman was just the popular hack to take credit for QED. the premise was there in the 20s. they knew then.

since then, we have useless physics. little things here and there like casimir but nothing major. and even casimir is from 48. 60+ years ago

  • What about the unification of electromagnetism and the weak force? What about the black hole theorems, or the discoveries made in black hole thermodynamics? What about the quark theory of hadrons?

  • I'm exaggerating a bit of course but what has any of those really gotten us?

better lasers? better semiconductors? better superconductors? anything?

I all fairness I don't know much of the newer physics but it all seems so useless and misguided. all physics screams wave nature but everyone seems to think in terms of just particles. just banging them together or hiding in cosmology when everything of interest is present in a glass of water

  • Should all physics be studied completely because of immediate practical application? Besides, plenty of research is being done in more applied fields like statistical mechanics and solid state physics.

Physics (certain interpretations of Schrodinger's wave equation) suggest that a particle has wavelike properties. In quantum field theory, we can look at particles as being the resultants of the more fundamental quantities called fields.

  • it doesnt' seem to have given anything neither practical nor prospect.

has quantum field theory offered any actual insight? or is it like string theory where it's pure math fabrication and no relevance

  • It explains the behavior of particles to startling accuracy and it makes several testable predictions, some of which have been tested already. It passed the tests.

  • what planet or world do you live in? String theory has been tested and passed?

If it could really be tested none of the charlatans like Lisa Randall or Brian Greene would have a job, Since it would have been disproved.

And THEY KNOW THAT this theory can never be tested and disproved so they are safe for the rest of their lives.

  • No, I said Quantum Field Theory has been tested. Do try to make sure you know what someone is saying before you jump down their throat. Thanks.

  • Also, exactly how do you know that string theory can never be tested? Some versions of it can be tested in the LHC. Many of its predictions talk about early universe cosmology. Observations based on cosmological predictions may turn out to be the first tests of string theory we have. In fact, they could make or break it.

  • thats completley bullshit, the greatest contribution of the phisics to the world the relativity theory was a work of pure speculation and theorization

thats dumb people argument, all knowledge are advance to human kind

  • I'm sorry, I really don't understand what this post is supposed to say.

  • Modern physics may have answers about our existance (space time & quantum mechanics).

  • I'm sorry, but science does not exist to make better LCD TVs for you.

"Only from a long-range point of view, of a developing technology. Otherwise, it has to do with: Are we good painters, good sculptors, great poets? I mean all the things that we really venerate and honor in our country and are patriotic about. In that sense, this new knowledge has all to do with honor and country but it has nothing to do directly with defending our country, except to make it worth defending. "

    now shoo

  • Wow...all the points she made on here and all you people can talk about is how "hawt" she is. Fucking pathetic. Maybe feminists have a point after all.
