the russian evolutionary scientist and biologist peter kropotkin wrote an interesting book about a whole range of tribal societies and compared his findings to the zoological data he'd collected. he founded what is called 'anarcho-communalism'. i find those ideas having a lot of similarity with what russell here is talking about
the book is called 'mutual aid: a factor of evolution' and i recommend it to those interested in this stuff.

How profound. Humans suffer from ego... not realizing just how insignificant we are. And we will destroy ourselves because if it, if we dont have a paradigm shift.

The only thing I don't agree with is that humans are not a part of the ecosystem. Humans have a great power, it can heal the earth give all animals and plants what they need with man's/or womans love. but this has to be from a true man or woman, one who can love. One who isn't blinded by the lies we've been put under. Who walks in truth.
i cant help it that my ancestors came over a few generations from norway. i respect the earth.nature. i dont do xmas. i hide. i have clinical depression. my best friends are inuit and first nations. im stuck here. i only mean respect in my tears. kat
