What I don't understand is why hotel security would let a man carry an UNCOSCIOUS child out of the hotel, they should have stopped him and kept him there until police arrived. Yes the girl was unconsious based on 3 visible signs; 1) She wasn't moving, trust me if she was awake she'd be squiriming trying to break free 2) Her eyes were closed shut 3) She had her hands in her lap.

While you have a point, and everyone should definitely check out anything suspicious. But it's bad rep for the hotel to accuse everyone of kidnapping a child. Unconscious or asleep, it's really hard to tell. In their eyes, she was probably just asleep, an average day for the security.

While they weren't aware of the amber alert, now that surprises me. Especially for any motel in the area.

from what i have read he based his decision on the mother asking him if she could stay with her. he felt since she had a job and a place to stay that his daughter would be safe and now he regrets his decision. she stayed with her dad for a number of years and he wanted to give her mother a chance to raise her too. if it was a hostile place know on paper where was social services? i'm sure someone should have seen something. never the less still a sad situation. You don't hand over a child and not do a police check and do a little investigating. The police had the reports so did social services. Police reports are usually public record. This should have been about the child's welfare, not about being "fair" to the mother.
