Ummm may be others can dunk being the basket higher? Vertical jump is vertical jump no who's the smallest guy who can dunk. You just stretch your arm (mark against the wall or something), run and jump again (marking). Then measure.. that's maths and common sense... Bad ass- I'm only 5'8 and he gives all us little guys hope! I play occasionally down the street from my house and there's a 5'6 (maybe 5'7) guy there that can dunk. Also there's a guy my height that can dunk. They said their secret is just running steps and working out their legs. So all you little guys out there just build up your legs, you can do it too!

Nate Robinson IS A MUCH BETTER basketball player (how many 30 point games is he having compared to Spud, lol). The old classic nostalgia doesn't make Spud better, get real. Robinson gets up slightly higher as well, no comparison. Webb's a pioneer though, can't take that away from him.

Considering there are both point guards I would say they're both very close, stats wise, when comparing their best seasons. I would choose Spud over Nate based on assists & steals per game and shooting percentages in their prime as a point guard for my team not how many 30 point games they have had.

this is back in the days when there was no jump soles. he just had inherently great leaping ability. now everyone his size dunks because of the jump training shoes.

it also looks like he had a better vertical leap when he was in sacramento. got a couple inches higher.

By the way, In my school I know a guy that is 6'7" and is the second tallest gut in our school, but he can't even touch the backboard. He can only go 2-3 inches above the mesh. race plays no role in dunking - if you can touch the rim you can dunk. you practice from touching the rim, to grabbing it, then dunk a piece of paper, then a tennis ball, volleyball, etc. I'm 6'4 but my first dunk was age 17 5'11. I could've dunked a real ball much earlier if i practiced jumping off one foot and then switching to 2 feet more often.
