And where exactly does this supposed award winning author get his "expertise" to write a book? Is he a NASA astronaut, engineer, employee? Nope. All I hear him say is "I try to talk about...." "I try to talk about...."
The simple fact remains....I have NEVER seen his book in any bookstore. The reviews I can find online of this "book' citing his writing states it is nothing more than a simple article stretched into a book and that he did no research to get solid facts on space exploration
you know nothing about football or strategies .. donkey! follow to write about hockey and not on the history of a country they do not know and you know nothing! xenophobic ignorant!
Who cares? The space program is so lame these days. How does this benefit the common man? As far as I know the VAST majority of the stuff that goes on up there is classified military stuff that we can pay for but never know anything about. There is just no inspiration in the space program anymore. Too many secrets, just like everything else these days. NASA needs to be scrapped.
i agree and we live in a so called democratic society the government and military hide everything from us and we pay for their sorry asses to be doing what they do in the first place, i think the government just use us as worker ants they don't really care about us, we are just pawns. Like in war civilians are always targeted and they pretend to care even though they dont all they are bothered about are themselfs as they hide in their underground bunkers
There is absolutely nothing of military significance on the ISS. Never has been, never will be, never has even been considered. Plus, data gained form some of the earth observation experiments has been used to improve crop yields across the world. That right there could be worth hundreds of billions.
v=yUrSXtycWzk I've seen from the ISS videos that it is a rugged and messy place. Not at all organized nor home-like. The guy in the video is suffering from it and the fact that he must constantly perform and live in a capsule with little to do. He copes by fiddling about but he is anxious all the time. They are not allowed to make their nest so to speak. They are slaves to the hardware and to the mission and can't relax. They need a leather sofa!

Dear All,
I have some question about psychology:
(1) Why do we want to travel to space?
(2) What motivate us to design and to build the International Space Station (ISS)?
(3) Why do want to live in space?
(4) What are the social values represented by International Space Satation (ISS)?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

but you need gravity for a sofa to be of any use ;)

They could design a relaxation module with a view outside, leather coated walls and pillows and other aesthetic decoration
teemuruskeepaa 3 years ago
I suppose, like a 'fun chamber'!
Then again though, aren't windows+direct solar energy kinda dangerous?
noisecape 3 years ago
Irrelevant. I'm saying that the conditions on board the ISS are inhumane and too pragmatic. They suffer living there.
teemuruskeepaa 3 years ago
that's the price you pay for being a flying man.
noisecape 3 years ago
That's not the seriousness that the mission designers have about this.
teemuruskeepaa 3 years ago
No they don't.

Yes.

I don't know if "stranded" would be the right word. After all, they *did* have a way home with the Soyuz capsules
