I saw recently a completely blind goldfish (read: zero eyed). He was not as lively as the others, but still swimming around apparently knowing where he is. To think about it, its like a man being born blind, he doesn't know what seeing is. The shopkeeper said he was good at locating his food :)

@Senzeni i had a blind goldfish. she didnt have any eyes either. she came with a bunch of feeder fish i got for my frog but i kept her...she didnt live very long. but a few years later a got ahold of tewo blind cave tetras, same story no eyes. but when you originate in a cave who needs them if you cant see anyway? they could see so well that they would attack my other fish's tails. my friend has them now. over 2 years later and their still going strong...lil Ray and Stevie

I had a pumpkin-seed sunfish that I caught and accidentally removed his eye while removing the hook. He healed really fast and became a great little terror by eating all the food and bullying the other fish. Then my bluegill killed him.

About 3 1/2 months ago, I saw a black moor at the pet store with one eye, and I was afraid no one would get him because of it, so I bought him, took him home, and put him in with the other fish. Today, he's a happy little guy that's grown bigger and swims around fine! :)

Although, it is a little odd to look at, because moors have eyes that stick out from the sides, and he only has his one eye sticking out from the left instead of eyes sticking out from both sides.

I also had a one-eyed pearlscale. My little pike attacked it and damaged his left eye, so I had to cut it off. It survived and lived for more than two years after that. The wound healed so good that you couldn't see if it ever had an eye there or not.
