@PeaceHavens Parks are ephemeral on that piece of earth that man has loved, fought and died upon since two rocks banged together was considered hard rock. You know the Beatles? LOL! Maybe it was tinkerbells tinker?
@PeaceHavens Ged, I was half way to Princeton this morning and I thought of this comeback so naturally I wanted to share it with you....here goes.....The Cow in question was a loner and hanging with a bad crowd in the park, but lost its ringer when he was called home! ...sounded better half way to Princeton! LOL!
What are you on Chad ? ... waxing proper lyrical ... gotta be 80% proof ... and by the way ... a cow is not a he ... he he he .. although that's open to debate these days ... hmmmmm
A useless but interesting bit of info for you. i did a patent search on that bit of pipe....
it was patented by FRASER, K., and YORKSHIRE COPPER WORKS, Ltd., Haigh Park Road, Stourton, near Leeds. Feb. 20, 1934, and it was a form of closing or joining copper pipe.
not useless my friend .. the recreation ground was used as an Army Barracks in WWII 1939-44 .. this was probably was used in the barracks ... thank you
You know I had everybody fooled about today being Thursday ... now I am going to have to go out with the Thursday Oldies Club tomorrow walking in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales ... and I was going to stay in my warm snug bed until dinner time ... thanks a bundle ... LOL ... I suppose I could always do another few dozen coins ... just for laugh ...LOL
Great video. I always wonder what the temperature is where you are. It's too cold for me here. (29-32 degrees F) and I imagine Your winters are milder. It's good to watch a good video when you can't get out.
air temperature is a few degrees above freezing in the sunshine ... a few degrees below with a wind chill ... always on the cusp of sweaty or brass monkeys ... the ground in places with no sunshine is frozen to depth of 2 or 3 inches ... nice digging ... like solid icecream ... nice .. usuallly the soil is wet and sticky ... this suits me fine ... at least it isn't grey and wet and raining ... and like working in a bog ... yuk ...
my best day total was Metal Detecting UK (37) with 106 coins with a Viking V6 non motion detector ... but of course that was last year and I was much younger then ... LOL
Ged....just use your decimals to buy some silver :D.....that's a win - win situation. Glad you are still able to get out and hunt.

Interesting that the coins often create a ball of soil around them.

No worries Ged...I think they call those boot studs 'blades' and they can cause knee and foot injuries....I'm not into football/soccer either!
