The police officers should have placed the suspect in hand cuffs when he begun to resist, forthesafetyofthe officers, road users andthe driver. Poor job by the officers imho. good old codral trucky elixer it'll foil most saliva tests and the cops should have checked the temp on the truck before anything else .i been hassled by the cops and dot and never had a ticket,but that stop them from being asses.i was onced grilled for 45 mins over some paperwork that was supposedly incorrect,it wasn't until the dg licencing authority spoke to the dick to explain he was wrong and told to learn the rules before trying to be a dick

OK we all know how the media misrepresents things .. this is a classic example .. the driver suffers from turrets syndrome and does not at all do drugs .. he was also bashed by police in the past which has alot to do with his attitude, what they dont show is the barrister/lawyer/good samaratian who seen what was going on parked her car and ripped the police officers over the coals and is representing the driver. yes he still is employed by the company and does a top job NO DRUGS INVOLVED AT ALL

@DoctorPepper2010 you saw was 15 minutes of well edited tv this ordeal went on for 3 hrs even though his attitude is unacceptable but after 3 hrs i think i would be getting sick of it too even when they wanted the truck moved into a side street where you would have needed 3 lanes to get into it and to get out you would have need to back out .There was bad behaviour from both partys think about what wasnt shown you can have the best attitude and still have the cab emptied into the street

717 bux in that state for going 15 min over in ya book allowed to go through ya truck pullin ya stuff out on the road or pavement in any weather coz they dont like the look of you dont need a legal reason as in this country being a truck driver is reasonable suspicion in the eyes of the law. and they know the majority of drivers in Australia have no clue as to their legal rights

the thing he is guilty of is being fatigued and paranoid prob had a bad experience with the task force cops like most of us n was having a bad day.
