He's got balls to do it, I mean, singing is something not many people have the confidence to do anywhere other than in the shower, and he's doing it in front of freakin' huge audiences. Sure he needs lessons, but I don't think we should be that harsh about it. Let's just wish him luck and hope Atreyu will continue to get better and better :)

@Bludhoundz8 Sure he's got the confidence, but he doesn't have the talent for clean vocals. He's tonedeaf for all intensive purposes, and singing lessons don't really help you develop an ear, if you don't have one. Like I said, I love Atreyu, and I still consider Alex one of my favorite screamers, but as you can see (hear) in this video, He just can't sing. 'Tis a shame though. I think his disability is the main reason a lot of people don't like Atreyu.

@Robo0595 Yeah. I think Alex's screaming is something not many people can handle because its just so "different" but i think he has one of the greatest screaming voices ever. Theres just something about it... I dunno, its just... so gutteral, aggressive, unique, etc. I think he should probably just go back to screaming, let Brandon continue belting out the singing, etc. And continue to make great music, like The Poison, one of my all time favorite metal albums. Congregation of the Damned sucked.

The only reason I can think for the singer to be so out of key is he couldn't hear the rest of the band properly through his headphones and was singing it off. Although he should be able to sing in key without backing, but I don't know I've seen Atreyu before and they were really good.

So is Bowling for Soup, Escape the Fate when they had Ronnie Radke, and Dead by April, Bullet for My Valentine, A Day to Remember, and alot more. Although they dont sound like their albums when playing live, no one does. However they show great skill in intstruments and vocals. Atreyu has gotten alot better but just doesnt seem to have a catchy voice when playing live.A7X plays well not only in their LBC
