Kira's evil laugh made me laugh a little. It's got a bit of everything - insanity, pretentiousness, evil, despair, tension - everything a psychopathic sadist with an overblown god-complex needs to scare the crap out of people. Anyone with a brain would put away their gun and prepare the thorozine and a straight-jacket (this obviously exempts Matsuda). Besides, as kickass as Kira was, we've already got several sadists with god-complexes, such as Sephiroth and Kekfa, in the media today.
