I first got this for the pc and the music was actually music and not in-built chip audible. Somehow- not sure how- I got real music.
It doesn't get much more corny than this save perhaps Leisure Suit Larry, but both are fine games. I miss playing this and I never completed it- never figured it out. Think I'll get a version I can play on my new system. THanks for posting.
This game rules but suffers from bad combat system. Someone needs to make a god hack and remove the time limit because you'll end up in dead ends anyways and running out of time is a welcome relief but annoying. Another thing you might miss the most important well location in the intro which is "WELL".
Lol, infuriating! I have emulators for both. the PC graphics are better, but the amiga's seem to scale to a better resolution. And the PC sound SUCKS. Either that or its the other way around, PC version plays better, but the amiga graphics are superior! Cannot win! lol.
Some game I would expect to be modded, and made even more playable these days. FF7-8, X-Wing, and Tie Fighter. Cant seem to make the games scale well or play any better on PC. Dissapointing.
Hmm. People think todays games are complex. RPG's have lots of room for movement. But thinking back to titles like this, they really havent moved that far forward. And in some respects titles like this were well superior!
@BuckFastZombie Gamers think today's games are complex but that's because they are dummer! They could not get their head around games like this at all - and for example, the No.1 reason cRPG's like the Gothic series are not scored high is because they are too hard for the years in which they were released, except for a load of old timer's like me that played cRPG's like this back in the 90's!
WWAARRGGH!!! Totaly!!! My friends play Warcraft. Now.. Dont get me wrong. WOW is good, but then they look at singleplayer RPG's and think " That looks shit, it sucks, it isnt wow".
?!?!?! 1. The graphics are better. 2. The game is more in-depth 3. They rock!
Been getting right into some singleplayer games recently. The Witcher was good, Gothica 4 looks decent, Oblivion with all the mods and addon packs, Kings Bounty! There are great games for the PC, but many I play and think, could have..
@BuckFastZombie Exactly! You know the kids that are going to make it - like the 12 year on here that reviews Witcher. Now you can argue it's an 18 certificate game and he shouldn't have it, but the fact he''s playing games like The Witcher will stand him in good stead for the future!
@comorbid The main issue was missing the well location in the beginning and that I had to get the help of the cloisters to finish and you had to not let on to them that you were a vampire and that you had to have the swords blessed officially to kill the vampires at the studio to get the shield. I ran into a bad dead end trying to get to the studio to get a tool that I needed to use in the cloisters compound in some way that was not clear to me without reading the walkthrough
If u need help, here is a walkthrough courtesy of GameFAQS whenever u have the time 2 finish it: Since I can't post website links on here, go to the GameFAQS website & type in BloodNet, you'll find a walkthrough of the game.
I've still got my original copy of the game in the box. Really cool concept and gameplay for when it came out. Vampires and cyberpunk go really well together in games.
There was a rare CD version of the game, it sold SO BAD that not many people know it was ever made, but you can't really call it a remake. It added some videos throughout the game, some extra graphics, and full speech for all NPCs! the problem was that you COULDN'T use both speech+subtitles, it wasn't realistic, at some point everyone turned the speech off and used subs (hard to explain, but you couldn't skeep with speech, anyway it was a big mistake of them).
I own this version - bought it on garage sale in Poland - nothing spectacular, additional graphics only apply to location previews on the main map. And there is some really bad voice acting - but I havent seen any videos through the game :(
Wow, PC gaming was really lacking in the audio department, check the amiga intro, it's a shock :D

I remember I had this back in the day. I got really frustrated with it, because you really COULD play yourself into a corner, and I DID. A LOT. lol

This really deserves a remake, genius atmosphere and story, poor implementation. The combat is woeful!

Some things that bother me to this day (I don't think I ever finished it 100%):
When you search Bellerue Hospital at Doctor Barton's room, you find "Locked Cabinet", can it be opened?
Benny's Puzzle (gives you a puzzle with 3 different languges to figure out, I still never figured it out! anyone did?)
Has anyone brought Charlie Flyer back to life?

This could be a live-action movie & get James Cameron to direct. He can make it just as nice as his Terminator project.

Can u put up the game in its entirety, all the way to the fight with Dracula & the very end part with Incubus??
OCPrunsthecops 4 years ago
I would, but I don't have the time for it, nor do I know the game well enough to make a video of efficient length.
