What a delightful video to watch! THANKS for sharing it with us! James Hong is one of our TOP characater actors! And he looks great! Most Asians age very well! Don't forget he also was in classic film noir "Chinatown" and the not-so-great sequel "The Two Jakes". I agree that he is one CLASS act. Few left like him, that's for sure!
I SO look up to this man! Hes been acting in Hollywood since the early 60's! If we think its kinda difficult to be an asain actor in hollywood TODAY, just think of what Mr Hong has had to put up with in his 40 years of acting!
David Lo Pan is the greatest actor ever. It's evident, he's only in every movie where an asian actor is called upon. You would think he, Egg Shen, and Jackie Chan were the only three asian actors from 1980 to 1990.
Pat Morita was in "Welcome Back Kotter". He wanted Kotter to come back to Japan with him and leave the Sweathogs. I loved Mr. Hong in the Nerds movies, when he taught Booger t o hock a lugee. He's great in everything he does. Go Asians!
Mr. Hong is more known likely for his roles in "Blade Runner," "Big Trouble in Little China," "Seinfeld," "Balls of Fury," and countless other memorable TV and movie appearances. I have not found a reference or acknowledgment in Mr. Hong's resume to "Welcome Back Kotter," but it is impressive if you can remember special guests from a show that has not been in re-runs for 15 years at least.

James Hong can't die until Ching Dai is appeased.
So I hope he continues to live a very long time :)
