Of course it is, but it's better. Asus made the market segment, and MSI, HP, and Acer are improving upon it. Personally, I think Asus did great with the original EEE, but each revision gets more expensive and less attractive to me.

iTunes isn't available on Linux,

It is only available for Windows and MAC.

In my opinion, the next best option for linux is Amarok. It has Ipod Support and superior library capabilities, with an interface very similar ot iTunes.

yep. UK pricing is £200 for the Linux and £300 for the XP version! Windows model has an 80gb hard drive, the Linux one has an 8 GB solid state drive but you can add SD cards to increase the storage.
