  • Hang on, the people going on about GEM and what the store is like now are surely forgetting or are unaware of the fact that the store was demolished in 1999 and the current store was built slightly adjacent to the old site..GEM might be well before my time, but I don't see how you could mistake the old Asda to the new one.

  • Thanks for sharing..I worked at GEM 1966/67 for Asda..Im back in Donegal Ireland for a long time I went to Nottingham 3years ago for 2days and went to see gem ..now asda...changed alot.so has the whole city..not as nice as in the 60s..
