Why is his passing game so good? Soccer. Yeah sounds weird but you get forced into using peripheral vision a lot in soccer and it helps improve your vision on the court, I play both and my passing is a lot better than a lot of my mates who have been playing basketball longer than me.

It's actually really cool how Steve Nash really developed a lot of his basketball skills, from soccer. The reason he can see the court so vividly and make those crazy passes is largely attributed to his soccer skills.
