@anglerfly The woman at 00:02 is really working to crank the organ, yet I think it's the approach. Had she a platform where she was more in grasp or in level with the crank, she would not have to extend as high and therefore not struggling to reach the upper portion of the crank.
The woman turning the organ is Judith Howard, probably the most knowledgeable expert on fair and street organ pipework in the UK.
