As for the call of the short stack player, I would have to know what the blind levels are at in order to determine if this was a proper play. KJ is never a hand that you want to play big pots with, which is what it seems she did here.

Horrible call? Keating was short-stacked and only had 13 blinds left or so. Just compare their chipstack sizes. I saw this video which is wsop 2007 and blinds were at 10k/20k. It is a beat but you can't blame Maria for that call. Only donkeys would fold KJ against short-stacked player. If you don't think KJ is ahead of short-stacked players' range, then you're far behind from knowing how to play tournament poker. They can be pushing all-in to steal the blinds for survival.

I gotta agree. You call that early on in a tournament, then you're a total donk. But at the later stagers in the tournament, a player gets under 15 BB, the range of hands the move in with is pretty large. Connecting cards can be good enough, so KJ is a standard call.
