I partially agree with you. The difference between OSU and USC is that OSU takes care of most the Big 10 teams, but loses the big games. USC beats everyone outside the PAC 10 then loses to a pretty good 9-4 Oregon St team who sees them every year.
And that is the key to why teams such as Oregon St and UCLA have beaten USC. They play them every year, know their system, know their players, know what they are going to do and they don't go into the game intimidated by the fact they are playing USC. In a nutshell those teams save up all their energy to play USC every year.

I partially agree with you. The difference between OSU and USC is that OSU takes care of most the Big 10 teams, but loses the big games. USC beats everyone outside the PAC 10 then loses to a pretty good 9-4 Oregon St team who sees them every year.

And that is the key to why teams such as Oregon St and UCLA have beaten USC. They play them every year, know their system, know their players, know what they are going to do and they don't go into the game intimidated by the fact they are playing USC. In a nutshell those teams save up all their energy to play USC every year.
Now why USC lost to Stanford in 2007 I will never know. That was just a rotten performance by USC.
