There is a different between the vortex and enlightenment. Enlightenment is when you transcend the mind. Being in the vortex could just be from thinking positive thoughts. No mind vs Mind.

It is my understanding that enlightenment is knowledge of the path to attain Nirvāna, the highest happiness (or being in the vortex if you prefer).

However some people consider that enlightenment and Nirvāna are the same thing.

Note that Abraham adds the words "as you are offering it here" when asked about 'attaining enlightenment', and later describes enlightenment simply as knowledge.

Why can't Abraham speak different languages?

Hi.

It is my understanding that Esther Hicks receives blocks of thought, that she translates into words as best as she can, with the vocabulary that she has.

Esther, being an English-speaking person, speaks the teachings of Abraham in the English language.

However, in another YouTube video, an English-Spanish translator, who is is a good friend of Jerry and Esther and translates their books into Spanish says that Abraham has often helped her find the right words in Spanish.

Far be it from me to try to convince someone else of what my life experiences have caused me to believe or not to believe.

Set to one side for a moment all that has been put into your mind by others, listen to the words of Abraham, try understand their meaning, and see if they don't resonate with your own conclusions about life.

If you're interested in this materiel, the book ' The Law of Attraction ' is a great place to start.

I think what Abraham says here is somewhat misleading. There is a difference between being a person in the vortex and being transpersonally enlightened.
