According to history - The British lost Florida not to US but to Spain who held it till they sold it to the USA a few years after the 1812 war. I think all loyalists fled to Barbados which is still British after Spain take over Florida.
william franklin[son of benjamen] was a loyalist too,he would never except the revolution,and considered his father a traitor,he was arrested in n jersey,by rebels and imprisoned for 2 years,his father never lifted a finger to help him,he died and is buried in london
Oh shut up all I said was that we are not British Americans dumbsss I haven't said anything antiamerican or British and you are a retard for thinking that

Firstly I know alot of history and secondly you are a huge hypocrit for not speaking proper English and your from the birth place of it and 3rd America kicked your asses TWICE!!
So its an American government not a british government
You clearly don't know about history then. You did not kick our ass in either war, get your facts right. I'm going to give you a lesson and try and get it in your thick head please.
The rebels only won the Revolutionary War due to the help of foreign powers notably France, as well as Spain and the Dutch.
The war of 1812 was won by neither side. The British pummelled the Americans in Canada, the Americans pummelled the British at New Orleans. There you go.
@theolliepotter At New Orleans the battle was fought with the Yanks having won that one but their victory was hollow cos the war was already ended and news of the treaty reached both sides shortly after the battle.
Although we British won many battles no one really won the war so to save more lives, both sides agree on peace treaty. We haven't lost Canada but the US gained northern area of the present States moving border a few hundred miles to present border.
@DavBlc7 Victory wasn't that hollow. A small ragtag army beat the best army in the world after it was battle hardened fighting Napoleon, in what was literally one of the most lopsided victories in the history of warfare. While it had no real effect on the outcome of the war, it had a tremendous impact on the psyche of the Americans.

They don't look like a fit regiment of British Grenadiers of Fusiliers, more like a fat unorganized rabble. What a shame.

@irishxxkelt
Among the American colonists, there were Loyalists, Continentals (or Rebels, as the British called them), and those who just plain didn't care.
