  • @luapsel77 If you can locate the MIDI file (I don't' have it any more) you can probably print the score from it using sequencing software.

  • @luapsel77 I learned it from a MIDI file that I downloaded off the Internet. If you are familiar with sequencing software, you can take the piano part out of any MIDI file and load it directly into the piano which has a teaching mode. You can step through the chords at your own pace until you learn the part. It's a very cool piano.

  • What keyboard is that, and how much do they cost, used or new?

  • @luapsel77 It's a yamaha YPG-635 which is discontinued and has been replaced by the DGX640. The DGX640 currently costs $800 on Amazon. It's a nice piano with realistic weighted keys that feel very similar to a real piano.

  • Best part of the song

  • Awesome--I have the exact same piano-right down to the wood finish-and I was just learning to play this very song! I was going through "New York State of Mind," & one of the progressions reminded me of this. Great song, man.

  • Awesome! Thanks.

  • I want a piano !!!

  • This is great! Any chance of posting the sheet music just for this piano part alone? I read sheet music and it's hard to see the keys. Thanks so much!

  • @Cherinadal Thank you! Sorry but I don't have sheet music. I learned it from a MIDI file that I found on the net.

  • nice keyboard, it made the whole song better.

  • very very nice. you played it perfectly!!

  • URE A VIRTUOSO!

  • Lolz, I got the same keyboard!

  • you have to focus your video on the keyboard right front up so we can see both hand on work you should do that so yours videos we look better thanks for sharing what you know

  • @chiconcuak If it helps, my left hand is consistently playing single notes. Technically they should all be octaves.

  • Nice man ! Robert Lamb is a genious ! Can you even imagine writing that piece?

  • really nice piano playing.

  • That was really, really good! Do you think you could possibly do a tutorial on it(if you have the time)? Because I can't read sheet music. :(

  • Thanks! I'll see if I can do a tutorial, but I might do the complete song first.

  • Okay! :D Sounds good, can't wait. ^^

  • excellent

  • Yours is spot on. There are others on here and they are not quite right. good job!

  • Hey Thanks!

  • pretty awesome!

  • You rocks!!

    Congratulations!!

Would you tell me where can I find an score of that, please?

  • Thank you! I don't have a score -- I can't read music very well at all. I learned it from a MIDI file. Search Google for 'Saturday In The Park MIDI' and you will find it.

  • Ummm...I don't want to burst anyone's bubble here but a very important part of the song is missing. Does anybody remember the lyrics:

Slow motion riders fly the colors of the day

A bronze man still can tell stories his own way

Listen children all is not lost

All is not lost....Oh, oh oh

This is probably one of Chicago's most anticipated parts in their live song list. I hope you can go back at some point and teach people who are willing to learn this part how to play it. Great demo!

  • You are correct, sir! I abbreviated the tune because I like to keep my YouTube songs at about 2 minutes. One of these days I'll do the full song which comes out at about 4 minutes. I have some other piano tunes I'm going to post too. Thanks, I really appreciate the comment!

  • Dude...that was excellent. Very impressive. 5 stars for you.

  • Hey, thanks! I'm a piano noob and I really appreciate the words of support!

  • Where can u get or buy the song without the melody like u played? All the ones I found are the solo version with the melody tied into it

  • Hi! I learned it from a MIDI file that I downloaded. It should be easy to find.

  • Nicely done.

  • that sounds so sweet

  • could you please tutorial?

  • Thank you for asking! It took a really long time to get a good take of this tune since I'm new to piano. I'll probably upload another piano song next. If I find the time, I'll do a tutorial for you, too.

  • could you tutorial this please!

  • I've been waiting for your new video for so long.

Just know that you can play piano too, nice work !

  • Wow, that was really well played, I enjoyed it a lot. I wish I could play that well! How long have you been playing?

  • Thanks! I've only been playing for 2 years now. I wish I had started sooner!
