@luapsel77 I learned it from a MIDI file that I downloaded off the Internet. If you are familiar with sequencing software, you can take the piano part out of any MIDI file and load it directly into the piano which has a teaching mode. You can step through the chords at your own pace until you learn the part. It's a very cool piano.
@luapsel77 It's a yamaha YPG-635 which is discontinued and has been replaced by the DGX640. The DGX640 currently costs $800 on Amazon. It's a nice piano with realistic weighted keys that feel very similar to a real piano.
Awesome--I have the exact same piano-right down to the wood finish-and I was just learning to play this very song! I was going through "New York State of Mind," & one of the progressions reminded me of this. Great song, man.
This is great! Any chance of posting the sheet music just for this piano part alone? I read sheet music and it's hard to see the keys. Thanks so much!
you have to focus your video on the keyboard right front up so we can see both hand on work you should do that so yours videos we look better thanks for sharing what you know
Thank you! I don't have a score -- I can't read music very well at all. I learned it from a MIDI file. Search Google for 'Saturday In The Park MIDI' and you will find it.
Ummm...I don't want to burst anyone's bubble here but a very important part of the song is missing. Does anybody remember the lyrics:
Slow motion riders fly the colors of the day
A bronze man still can tell stories his own way
Listen children all is not lost
All is not lost....Oh, oh oh
This is probably one of Chicago's most anticipated parts in their live song list. I hope you can go back at some point and teach people who are willing to learn this part how to play it. Great demo!
You are correct, sir! I abbreviated the tune because I like to keep my YouTube songs at about 2 minutes. One of these days I'll do the full song which comes out at about 4 minutes. I have some other piano tunes I'm going to post too. Thanks, I really appreciate the comment!
Thank you for asking! It took a really long time to get a good take of this tune since I'm new to piano. I'll probably upload another piano song next. If I find the time, I'll do a tutorial for you, too.
@luapsel77 If you can locate the MIDI file (I don't' have it any more) you can probably print the score from it using sequencing software.

What keyboard is that, and how much do they cost, used or new?

@chiconcuak If it helps, my left hand is consistently playing single notes. Technically they should all be octaves.
