That was a good video-thanks. Before I moved to Seattle, my best friend and I spent a lot of time hanging out at the Lancaster station before work, just enjoying the place and waiting for trains. There's a lot of memories in that place for me. We spent a lot of time just walking the tracks, too. Those were better days. I hope yet that we can visit together someday, one more time.
nice vid good shots of 916 and 953 they are talking about replacing the AEM-7s here in the next few years i hope they preserve a few they have served faithfully for over 30 years
A viewer had asked in a comment about the bells on American locomotives. It is a relic of 19th century American railways when local towns passed ordinances (laws) to keep the "Iron Horses" from frightening the real horses. It survives today in Federal Regulations requiring the bell to ring when a locomotive moving past a passenger platform. Some bells are better than others. Amtrak's E-60 electric engine (1976-1986) had fine bells salvaged from steam locomotives.
sounds which locomotive produces at 1:00 and on are fantastic. There is bells, sparks, high voltage transformer buzzing ... my kind of thing :)

Nice video, but keep a tri-pod around. It will make a world of difference than freehand shooting.
