Some of these comments ar making my brain hurt. A 4 link is mechanical system where 4 rigid bodies are used to complete a "circuit". On a truck that would consist of frame, swing arm, piston, and slider/cylinder. The piston and slider make up what we know as the airbag or hydraulic. This isn't a 6 link system otherwise it would move in no less then 6 different directions. The 4 link moves in 2, up and down. Once you start adding ball joints and such for twisting then you get into more links.
@ibagged1 2 link systems don't move. it would be like connecting two bars together at the ends. All you get is a reinforced bar. # links makes a truss, used to build structures. 4 links starts moving on joints with sliders and gears and such.
my 2-link lifts just as high if not higher. im happy with my ride quality...
