His guide was on the mark telling him how to walk in deep mud-unless you want to get stuck in it :)

His waders need to be strapped and he needs more pairs of welly socks; they were too loose to negotiate mud of that depth.

Discovery channel needs to show viewers a comparison between "waders" and "barefeet" - cos Mike Rowe, wouldnt've got stuck in the mud barefoot.

I know this from experience. Whether taking pics or just viewing wildlife, barefoot is the easiest way of preventing urself getting stuck.
