  • I almost spat out my drink when you said, ever so casually, "refrain from hitting them or physical violence" lollll

  • fail, im skiller you are not :D

  • fail.

  • I thought it was interesting you started with whole note versus Quarter note. You are so right, though .... the "counting aloud" is not rhythmic and metrical. Thanks for the post!

  • nice teacher but ummm... she needs to cover herself up or else the kids will be looking at more den the keys on the piano

  • lol i agree...what a hot teacher...i wish my teacher was like that.

  • so? why is that a problem...

  • OK. This is really helpful for me, because I'm teaching a student who is in a similar situation where the counting isn't working too well. From what I have noticed, she is having difficulty putting BOTH the counting of the rhytym and playing together; she can do one or the other, but not both at once. What would be the best way for me to help her do that?...

  • @wasbedeutetjemanden: In the Kodaly method, before a student plays a piece, (s)he (1) pats steady beat on his/her lap and says the rhythm syllables first -- marching on beat, if necessary. Then (2) student marches beat while clapping the rhythm or tapping it with sticks. (3) Student sings "loo" or hums while clapping rhythm high/low, relative to the piece's melodic direction. (4) Student sings solfege while clapping melodic contour. (5) Student sings letter names while fingering notes. Helpful?

  • @doubledoubletwnktwnk Thanks for the tip! Yes, this is indeed helpful advice, and intend on trying this method out when I meet up with my student next week :-)

  • If my piano teacher would has been so cute and sexy, today I'd be a killer!! eheheh... Interesting, nevertheless... :)

  • Dont hit them ? Thats good advice

I think she is a good teacher tho !

  • Is she alright?

  • hiliarious...any teacher that doesnt have the ability to have already thought of how to deal with these situations shouldnt be a teacher...common sense

  • really bad teacher!!

  • sexy smile =)
