yeah that would be the subframe, that sucks man, look under your rear and you will see the floor crack and if its really bad your subframe actually comes through the floor, i suggest you dont drive that it will get worst, dealer charges $5000 plus for a fix. im guessing you have a 1999-2000 323i or 328i those are the usual ones that break. i had a 328i same thing happened
